I can confirm that a fix is in the works.

Can confirm I get the same total invisibility bug, and shader is locked to medium.

Computer used:
15-inch MacBook Pro, Mid-2015
2.5 GHz quad-core Intel Core i7
16 GB of 1600MHz DDR3L
AMD Radeon R9 M370X, 2GB of GDDR5

Confirmed as well. Medium shaders (no High option anymore) with Post Processing disabled, Shadows disabled, LOD and Textures on High.

Unrelated: I have an HD5750 1GB on my iMac and I disabled Post Processing thinking it had something to do with the cloak effect and it did not. However, I did notice considerably less inconsistent (i.e. better) FPS with Post Processing disabled.

Still in super stealth mode (i.e. ship is completely invisible). But, hey, at least we now have a little "class specific" icon to look at (even though it disappears when you zoom in too close).

I'd prefer to be able to see the "old" shimmering shadow like it used to be.

But I suspect, like a lot of other things, this goes hand-in-hand with the change from DX9 to DX11 and the upgrades to ship rendering when coupled with the clamping of certain settings for Mac users so they can't use the setting that would allow for many of these wondrous graphics improvements.

Last update was three months ago.
At the risk of sounding snarky, can we at least get an update on when we might get an update?

Thanks.

Bump - Another Mac issue that has been sent to "The Partners" and we're waiting months for a resolution.

Please hire new partners. Or as an eariter post suggest... Bring this stuff to in-house CCP. You guys seem much better than "The Partners"

My first post here.
I'm always reading and following the forums, but now i think, it's necessary to post.

1.I can confirm the invisibility problem, but i could live with.

2.Much more get on my nerves the texture-problems. I have several artifacts arround some ships (retriever, procurer, arbitrator).
They can disappear if i set graphics to 'best playable' 'best memory' and back.
Next time i log in the Problem is here again. Most go arround is shader to low. But then the game doesnt really look nice.

3. Next bug is the ingame browser. It freezes the game completely, so i have to shoot the processes eve.... and wineserver.
This is the reason i cannot play fullscreen. i wouldnt have the activity-display on my mac to shoot processes.

4. PI : also going on nerves. the poco exchange window crashes very often, when i hit 'confirm'

Since theses Problems i have reinstalled eve twice new.

I have an imac 27 late 2009
Chipsatz-Modell: ATI Radeon HD 4850
Typ: GPU
Bus: PCIe
PCIe-Lane-Breite: x16
VRAM (gesamt): 512 MB
Hersteller: ATI (0x1002)
Geräte-ID: 0x944a

ROM-Version: 113-B9110C-425
EFI-Treiberversion: 01.00.383

Auflösung: 2560 x 1440
Pixeltiefe: 32-Bit Farbe (ARGB8888)
Hauptmonitor: Ja
Synchronisierung: Aus

Integriert: Ja

Please help. I do not have patience anymore.

I have all the same problems. The browser hanging eve is most annoying. I don't dare click on ANY link at all in Eve. Really a problem when your FC orders something and you need to click on a link to an Eve tool.... then blame, game hang and you have to reboot. Meanwhile your ship sits in nullsec being destroyed. Thanks CCP.... Thanks.

I'm on a MacPro 12 core, 64gb RAM, and Dual D700 Firepro's. I get the fact that Eve isn't "really" an OSX app and you emulate windows using Wine or whatever. So that's the "partner" that needs to fix it. Other games wrote a real OSX client. Which I would hope Eve would do, but likely too late for that now....

Hi all.
I see no responses than you, Trevize Demerzel.
Is this normal?
Do developers read here too?
It's a pity, because all things worked fine half a year ago.
Ok, this emulator is not very fast. But its a reason i choosed Eve Online. Many other MMorg dont do this.

Hello? Bueller. Bueller? No progress on any OSX client issues and no time frame or setting of expectations at all make your users very frustrated. It's the opposite of good customer support.

So I installed Playonmac, another Wine disto. They have an Eve install script that sets up Eve for you. Works great! Full graphics, high shaders etc and it all works!

I'm on a nMacPro with dual D700s, 12 core, running OSX 10.11.2.

The silence speaks volumes! No word from CCP since June and that was only to say a fix is in the works. Since then a whole new set of content has been developed and released! The priorities are obvious. The Mac client isn't one.

Please CCP answer! Let us know what you plan to do and when. I would like to make an intelligent choice with my future gaming dollars.

All I can say, as I have said in another thread, is that I am currently testing a new Cider version. I generally don't like to communicate anything on such matters until we have concrete testing and deployment-planning done.

I very much understand why you want to do this from a professional perspective (not to make promises you can't keep), but everything from CCP's communication with the Mac community, to that 'testing and deployment-planning' seems to be failing massively from a customer service perspective for the Mac customers.

And I know that this all is very much out of your hands and you're working hard, but the frustration within the Mac community around here is starting to boil over.

I appear to have a gate cloak on Sisi, but this is also under a High shader setting. It also seems different in that it's less detailed and more wave-like. It's nice to be able to finally access SiSi and run it in conjunction with the other clones (and not having it crash everything when I quit SiSi). I

I see the art department received my bribe in good order, but the Mordus Legion ships were supposed to be black... Not that I'm necessarily opposed to a rust red, but having just celebrated Halloween I really had my heart set on a matte black Blood Raider theme...
