I think I could help with this focus group. I've gotten some experience on flying caps on my alt, both dreads and carriers. The focus here is on W-space (PvE/PvP), where sometimes a small jump to null sec is made to kill a ratting carrier.

Besides that rolling WHs with a capital is still a thing, so considering mass during all these changes is something I find important to determine the viability of any cap in the future.

I would like to raise a personal petition to exclude the biggest super capital meta gamers from this focus group. Everyone in eve has ofcourse its own agenda to make the best out of the resources they already have. Besides, 3 rebalances are more than enough wasted development time.

I'm excited to see the new changes.

I've been involved in many super capital brawls/fights/rescues/sov grinds across new eden. Including solo moving across the universe and understand the unique challenges when you get left behind. I've been an eve player for many years and have seen capitals begin to change roles since the evolution of the doomsday, would love to have some feedback into the process moving forward.

So i a legitimate question for CCP. I've been talking to the players whom are/ were on the panel for the the tech 3 destroyers. It started off great for about a week. All the ones I've talked to who have been active in that panal said CCP's communication has been non existent. And that thread is essentially dead in terms of information from both CCP and Panal members.

Now my question is what's the point of these panal threads if there isn't communication from CCP to the panal members or communication from CCP/Panal members to the rest of the eve community?

I'm interested in being part of this.

My experience is in wormholes, where I have both FCed and piloted in all kinds of capital fights - fights where you usually push every single capital to it's limit.

I have been flying capitals since pre Dominion and have done combat from 1V1 dreads to the null-sec cap fleets that are almost untouchable. I have owned multiple supercapitals as well as dozens of dreads and carriers. I hope I would be a potential good candidate as most of my experience has been in small to mid range fights where a handful make or break a fleet instead of the massive fleets of nullsec where 256 carriers is just a thing they can do. I understand how capitals influence both areas of the game and how ( under current mechanics ) they are essential for any group to be able to "claim" an area of space as their own.

What's it to you anyway? If you're not one of the people who stand to benefit (read: have fun) from the system, then why have a voice whatsoever?

This is the same mode of thinking that brought us the unnecessary and useless jump bridge nerfs: smug self-satisfaction strictly at the expense of others, borne from jealousy and lack of achievement.

I too would very definitely be interested in this group, and genuinely believe that I possess the experience, analytical skills and ability to effectively communicate relevant ideas which would be needed. I'm not a terribly prolific poster on these forums, but believe I've established a history of providing insightful and well-reasoned feedback to the development team if you take a look at what I've written here in the past.

With regards to my own relevant expertise in the subject matter; while I can't claim to know supercapitals in such intimate detail as the likes of Rocket_X or served as commodore in galaxy-shaking battles, I can and do claim to have a great breadth of history with caps to draw upon. Starting my real eve career in a C5 WH alliance I've got a very good appreciation for how to get the most out of capitals in small-gang situations where they act as force multipliers, along with how to fight against them in the same theater.

Living in lowsec for a good while after that gave me an appreciation not only for how much scarier capitals could when mass limits were not a concern and you couldn't always see them coming, but how vulnerable they were to massed subcaps and just how little local tank often mattered even in the absence of coordinated capacitor warfare.

Moving to null full time with PL gave me yet a different perspective on capitals; that of the full-scale fleet fight and piloting my super in combat, which has been a thrilling experience. I can now say I've flown every class of capital short of Titans; triage, blap dreads, done silly things with phoenixes and believe I bring something to the table as a contributor to this group.

Agreed. What this focus group needs is a gaggle of ignorant, paranoid conspiracy theorists, not people who actually use or plan on using capital ships.

While not being a prolific capital user I believe I have something to contribute to this focus group. I have always been one to think outside of the box and look at problems from new angles in order to understand the entire system better. I have a long history with the eve meta and a extensive grasp on the games inner workings on all scales of combat. As a poster I like to keep things short and too the point, and also have a gift at spotting and translating misunderstandings, so that other people don't devolve conversations into useless dribble.

Capitals have been one of my favorite things since joining eve. I quickly trained a carrier much sooner then I should have in hindsight but it was one of the best investments I ever made. I have flow every combat capital class short of a titan and I hope that these changes encourage me to upgrade. Current I am SMA's Skymarshal and supercap fc and I would love to be part of the discussion as the exact numbers get straightened out.

I would like to take part in the focus group. I am currently running my own low sec based alliance and have always played around with caps and what they can do. I have relatively good experience with capitals and other ships in general and I would love to help out because I think that with all the new capital stuff coming out it I am going to be very active with capitals.

I have flown caps in low sec, a little bit in null and in wormholes so I have a pretty good knowledge of capitals.

Thanks for considering,

I would like to volunteer.

I have vast amounts of experience flying triage in and out of combat (even if that has resulted in quite a few deaths!), along with dreads & supers. I also build supers/titans and would be interested to discuss how it effects production/travel time etc. FInally I have a large amount experience in reporting on the loss of supers/titans and have a solid knowledge of all capitals and how they work.

And let's face it. What's more fun than the rush of flying triage! I look forward to seeing what this new ship class could bring to the game.

I'll throw my name into the hat.

I currently multibox up to 20 capitals and supercapitals in PVE and PVP and have been multiboxing capitals for several years.

I've been involved in cap fights from the smallest to largest scales.

At various times I've engaged caps with subcaps, engaged subcaps with caps, engaged in hot cap on cap action, station gamed in caps outnumbered 10:1 or more, hunted caps and supers for ganks, sieged money moons in distant regions with kitchen sink small gang support, flown triage for subcap fleets, defended ratting carriers from gankers, theorycrafted GSF's current idiot-resistant ratting Chimera fit, solo hotrodded blap Leviathans and gank Wyverns on anything that'd sit still long enough to land a scram and light a cyno, participated in large fleet engagements and directed large fleet engagements in my current capacity as an active Imperium capital/supercapital FC.

I feel I have a wide variety of perspectives to bring to the table, and I'd appreciate the opportunity to contribute my input to the upcoming capital changes.

I own 9 carrier pilots, a couple of them can fly dreads and multibox them in both pve and pvp, I also own a supercarrier and often run ganks with it on subcaps ~elite pvp~ amirite? I have hunted caps, killed caps, lost caps and even saved dumb ratting goons from bs gangs.

I am keen to see how CCP deals with feedback on these capital changes and on how they can improve upon them. I am currently a FC for the imperium and have experience running capital fleets.

I could write a long effort post about how I started playing with capitals and how great these proposed changes are but imo they still need some work and am happy to offer my perspective on how these changes would affect a null sec group such as Goonswarm Federation.

I would be very interested in taking part in this focus group.

I have only really used caps in a 'small gang' scenario but I have done so extensively and I feel that this perspective is really really important to balance considerations. I have flown them in both sieges and combat in w-space, lowsec and nullsec.

Most of the times I have used caps in nullsec/lowsec its been with far far bigger groups breathing down my neck so I know what it feels like to put a lot on the line with only a handful of subcaps as support.

I also have experience using caps and supers in far flung regions post-pheobe supported via WH's without the support train of a mega-alliance. It takes a lot of patience and dedication, two things id be happy to provide to this focus group.

Oh, and also I'm constantly checking half a dozen slack channels so what's one more? :D

Easy, I have been around since the beginning of Eve. I have flown caps and supers before most could get into them.

I use caps daily, because thy my my main ships to go, and I enjoy flying them in all kind of ways .

Been around since the beginning.
