I recently read a post breaking down which type of players participated in Fanfest (http://nevillesmit.com/blog/2015/11/2/for-all-the-quiet-ones). It was interesting to see the breakdown of which type of players attended the event. I'm wondering - can we get some statistics on the demographics of plex buyers and consumers? This could perhaps help address some people's concerns about the price (https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=451209&find=unread).

Plex is bought by space-poor ----> space rich

Easy.

Are you asking people who post on the forums to tell if they buy PLEX, and if so, state their "demographics". If so, what is the demographic criteria you seek; take home pay, own/rent home, live with mom in the basement, still a student, insensitive girlfriend who maintains the household budget?

I buy PLEX. I'm a sixty-year old former professional baseball player turned Hollywood screenplay writer. I live in a converted missile silo with my pet bison, Alfred. (Alfred doesn't hassle me about my online time.) I drive a 1965 Rambler I water-proofed myself to survive the upcoming catastrophic flood sure to follow Armageddon, now being staged in a country not to be named.

I vote for anybody that promises to fix everything, so I've had to create several false identities so I can vote for every candidate. (I kid myself into thinking this is okay by not voting for one candidate twice!) I'm a Frisbeetarian. (We believe when you die your soul gets stuck on the roof...like a Frisbee.) And, I believe in every -ism hoping they'll cancel each other out.

Since I don't have to work, and I receive retirement checks, social security benefits and royalties in the mail, I have an unlimited amount of cash to spend on PLEX, which I do in order to make my wallet number get higher and higher and higher and higher. This has no effect on my game play, but it just seems the wallet figure never gets HIGH enough!

You're welcome!Cool

There just isn't anything that can be said!

I buy PLEX, only to sell it again with a ridiculous mark-up P

More about the in-game demographics - newer players, professional players, industrialists, pvpers, etc. as it was broken down in Fanfest.

There are two kinds of people.

- Those who value a PLEX at several hours of in game grind.

- Those who value a PLEX at about 3 beers at the pub.

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

I buy plex.
I'm 28, I own a small semi-successful buisness. I make enough to have disposable income and not much to dispose of it on. EVE and a few indie roguelikes are the only games I spend money on. I do not go out and club often or eat at sit-down restraunts. I am quite social, mostly playing board games, miniratures wargaming and P&P rpgs. While these often have high initial costs, once you buy a few boardgames or a mini army you don't really need to keep spending money on it.

AS for EVE, I am a PVPer/generalist. I do incursions to make ISK but we like using T3's and faction battleships and stuff... So I often find I need more ISK. Plex at 1BN each is too easy t opass up. I dumped 100$ (1 day of IRL work) into EVE during the halloween, got enough ISK to carry me to the summer (6 plex).

Edit: I definately fit into the "Aggressor" group.
