So I have been mostly gas mining in wormhole space but this weekend I did an experiment and mined the gas sites in low sec. I found that I made significantly more isk mining gas sites in low sec vs in a wormhole and there were no sleepers to deal with. Is this common? Are the gas sites in low sec more valuable than in wormhole space?

K-Space gas is used to make combat boosters (DRUGS!) while J-Space gas is used for T3 production.

Seems like you found a pocket of nice gas that is currently undersupplied, therefore valuable.

This may or may not change in future.

What kind of gas do you usually mine in worm holes? Some of them are more valuable, some are less. I usually use this site to determine if it is worth it to mine a particular gas or not:

You had luck to be in the right region and to find a site with the higher value gas, that is used in booster manufacturing. Not all of low-sec gas is that valuable.

Just like "Sheeth Athonille" wrote, you can use the fuzzwork link to determine the higher value gas. This Site will tell you, where you can find those sites. The only problem with this booster gas is, to get the stuff to a market hub. Or maybe you are lucky and you can find a buyer locally, who is not trying to rip you off.

C5/C6 Vitals/Instrumentals is the most valuable gas you can harvest. With that being said you need a bling'd out Paladin/Vargur to clear the advanced sleeper frigates and battleships.

You can make roughly 120mil per prospect load. I use 3 accounts to thats 360mil for a short period of work not to mention the 60mil bloot

@Nerapa

You are right, but that was not the question here.

Low sec gas is all right, but it moves slowly. Your best bet is to sell locally at Jita prices, since gas takes up alot of space.

However, valuable gas sites are highly competitive. And it's low sec. Prepare for some pew pew vs aggressive farmers.
