Who's your family and where are they now?

I'll start:

Mother got ganked while crewing a capsuleer-flown Thrasher that was cruising on autopilot. She died in Hek, still don't know whose boat she was in.
Father and granddad stayed in the Republic, are still flying freighters for Native Freshfood.
Older sister got mixed up with the Guristas, got no clue where she is.
Younger brother is trying to live the corporate dream, currently vice-president at a Watch Logistics member company.

Rest of my extended family that I know of is scattered between Umamon and Metropolis, with a few pirates and Feds for flair. Quite a few lines on my mother's side that I hear are still somewhere in the Kingdom or Empire in various states of enslavement. Keep seeing new nephews and second cousins at the clan reunions, though, so the continued release negotiations seem to be working well.

Your story?

Father died during Gallente Nationalist riots on Caldari Prime. Mother died not long after that while crewing an Imperal Navy destroyer, at the hands of a TLF capsuleer no less.

My brother is happily married to a Khaldari, and they have three children. My Grandfather is quietly tending to his Holdings while he trains as a pilot.

I have several distant cousins in both the State and the Empire. I'd love to do an Onzo/Gallius reunion some time.

I lost my family to a tragic misunderstanding. Heresy is a serious charge, and it is not surprising that such a charge results in death. It would be typical, perhaps even excusable to blame Empire and its institutions for the mistakes that may have been committed. Perhaps the anger in a person is enough to lead them to blame God.

I refuse to spiral down into despair and rage.

Instead, I believe most humans (I do not say all) are comfortable amongst people who love them and care for them. As I am still alive, the last of my name, it is my duty to find a family of my own.

And so it is my journey to find my own kin. Perhaps my name has a double meaning I never knew.

My parents are still happily married and running the Estates on Octanneve V. Papa did not stand again for the governorship of Elose after my grandfather fell ill two years ago, but he's now well again and back leading hikes into the mountains despite Nana's objections.

I'm the eldest of four, and whilst one of my brothers and my sister are at home helping with the Long Harvest, the youngest brother has just been promoted to Lt Cmdr in the Federal Navy. Papa couldn't be prouder, though there's some debate as to whether he will be allowed to consider capsuleer training.

The extended family is scattered all over the constellation and Solitude - pretty much everyone left Mannar at the same time and we've not looked back. I'm told that one of my third cousins is seeking a divorce, which is quite the scandal hereabouts. The Hammerfest is looming, so I'll be back for all that gossip - at least, any perspectives my sister has been unable to ferret out already!

It's great being part of a big family. Arkoth 24 could definitely do with a hug.

Wow. You guys have had it rough. Me? Not so much in the family department.

My mother's Jennis Culome, a Senior Engineer on Huggar Station - Pator III - Moon 2 - Republic Security Services Assembly Plant. She worked her way up through the ranks to get there - by the time I was fourteen, she was the Maintenance Chief there. My dad, Gunnar, well, he's part of the technical team, too. He's still in maintenance, though. That's not unusual for our Clan, though. Stjörnauga tend to be hands-on folks who like to be elbows-deep in machine oil. Mom said she wanted to get into the more 'high-minded' parts of the technical staff on the station, but really, I think she was mostly motivated by trying to get enough scratch together to get me tested in the first place. Gotta admit, though, if you're gonna get out of the monkey-wrench end of the biz, worse places to do it than on an RSS Assembly station. Lots of really juicy postings for someone who knows how things work, and how to make 'em work when the textbook says they shouldn't.

And her investment's paid off, too. I won't say they could afford to set up their own Outpost somewhere, but they've definitely got enough ISK going through their hands now to live comfortably. Not that they hold onto it, of course. For the most part, the money I send them goes back to the rest of our Clan, to make sure everyone's got the tools they need, the education they want, and the freedom to pursue whatever career path they feel calls to them.

Don't have any siblings, though I do have a bunch of cousins - mostly on stations in Pator, which is where our Clan tends to stay, but there's a branch of the family that's gone native in Caldari space, believe it or don't. Dad's uncle Bor married a girl from somewhere in the State, and their kids stayed out there. I heard one or two of my second cousins have managed to migrate out here, but the only one from that side of the family I've managed to keep in touch with is Cailyn. I should ask her if she knows about that stuff.

And even though I know it's supposed to go without saying, I'm gonna say it anyway: anyone decides to get cute and go screw with my folks, I will forget the fact that I'm a non-violent Logi pilot and burn your whole world down. And I don't care if that means having to leave 'the Big Seven' by the time I'm done. Targeting someone's baseliner family's just frikkin' off-limits, and you all know it.

Family's on Skarkon II. With rest of clan.

No, not on any of the seven cities on the planet.

Sister is a former Electus Matari employee, lives with her husband's clan on Gelfiven V. Also, there's now apparently a niece.

Mother owns a Vherokior restaurant on a FNA station.

Father is probably very dead, but who cares.

The reality is what we choose as such. If someone is adopted into a clan, they become a part of that clan. If a kind, reliable and generally good person insists that i am her sister, then why not? It's better for one's health to have an adopted family than a head full of "unbound demigod" crap anyways.

Hoo boy. Okay.

(Assembled from old records and journal entries.)

Mother: Yumiko Sujui, beaten to death in YC 90 by Sarth Jenneth after years of domestic abuse.

Father: Sarth Jenneth, executed for murder of unsanctioned domestic partner in YC 101 under SuVee corporate law.

Father's family: unknown.

Mother's family: Sujui monk clan, Silla district. Clan accepted half-blood offspring of unsanctioned union into clan in YC 91. The child was granted Achur citizenship and clan membership, entitling her to formal training and education. However, due to embarrassing circumstances, she is largely kept out of sight. She ultimately adopted the Caldari culture, became a SuVee citizen, and joined the State War Academy in a bid to prove she wasn't useless.

Lattro Sujui: clan patriarch, killed in a sparring match against his granddaughter in YC 110. Circumstances suggest accident, but she insists it was murder.

Jihun Sujui: cousin, obtained capsuleer license to effectively pursue grandfather's murderer. Lost a traditional honor duel against her in YC 111 and was stabbed repeatedly, necessitating emergency cloning. Retired from capsuleer life soon after.

My father is presumed dead as the mining vessel he served upon was beset by pirates and no survivors were found aboard the wreckage.

My mother is currently detained for performing unsanctioned bio-engineering experiments on a minor.

Aside from that, I have a couple of cousins back on Luminarie.

Most of my clan at this point lives on Renaissance, in a little settlement we've put together called Nea Kenki.

My mum and Dad are there with three of my fiving siblings. Diio (18) moved out last year and enrolled in the junior officer training academy in Foundation. Ashae (16), Maeri (14) and Kyan (12) are still with my parents, Sabeda (9) has been living with me in Foundation City since her blindess makes her a bit of a handful for my parents with everything else also going on.

Uncle Jkagi and aunt Maara and their kids Fletsa and Leith all live in Nea Kenki. They have two more kids, Evalif and Karita, who are enrolled at the arts college in Foundation City.

Aunt Barinja and Uncle Weld are in Nea Kenki but their kids are closer to my age then my siblings. They have four kids, but aside from Kyo, the youngest son, they've all moved into Foundation.

Then there's Aunt Petra and Uncle Cass, all their kids moved out too, but Illsea, my cousin, moved back recently with her new husband Arland so that she could have her first child with the clan.

Aunt Keira lost her husband (that was my uncle Dari) in a mining accident the year before I was able to get everyone off of Skarkon. At that point I was sending enough money to live on back to the clan, but a lot of them kept working for something to do. Her two daughters, Jina and Harsisa still live with her.

Uncle Albrant and Aunt Seshi don't live in the settlement, instead they run the motel/vehicle charging station/restaurant at the south edge of the clan lands where it edges against Highway 1. They have six kids, all between the ages of 10 and 20 who live at the motel with them and help out around the family business.

Uncle Jade and Aunt Obsade have six kids aged 15-30, the oldest, Byrd, I had a fling with when he was 16 and I was 14. He was also the one who accidentally stabbed me while he, his brother Miron, two of Aunt Barinja's kids, and I, were practicing our mad skills at knife throwing

Lets see, who else is there...There's Uncle Todd and Aunt Roe, they take care of my great aunt Moira, and they have three kids. Besom, Kjira, and Mott.

And there's aunt Marci who never married but has four kids between my age and late teens.

And last is Uncle Ruo who no one can convince to leave Skarkon and so he's still here.

And that's just aunts, uncles, and first cousins. I'd probably need a flow chart to remember all the second and third cousins, great aunts and uncles, and things like that. I have a big family.

I was raised in a parivaar (a sort of commune for those not familiar with the word) on Vey II. Everything there was done collectively, including child rearing, so in a way I have many parents. My biological mother was a master artisan whose wood carvings and furniture are popular all over the Federation (if you are really into interior decorating you may have heard of her). my biological father is half Intaki half Sebiestor and seems to have inherited the tinkering bug from his Sebiestor ancestors, serving as chief engineer and general handyman for the parivaar. He can fix just about anything and makes kinetic sculptures with scrap metal as a hobby. I've got a brother and some cousins back home as well.

Life on Vey II (Maatrukaanan as we know it) was peaceful and idyllic, it was like being constantly surrounded by a large extended family . . . I left for the stars as soon as I was old enough naturally, I've always had a bit of an independent streak Pirate. As far as I can tell the family is all still on Maatrukaanan, it's been a while since my last visit.

My parents I'm not talking about. Let's just say I became what they pretended to be.

My brother became one of those clone mercs when I was in the RMS, then we had a fight like a year ago and don't really talk anymore. Don't really know where he went and he knows how to contact me if he wants. I won't hold my breath waiting for that day.

I'm an only child from my parents. I don't know if I have any half siblings.

My father, Geno Funk, killed himself somewhere in Anoikis. He was in the tribal liberation force. He wanted me to work in the republic government. He died about a year after I became a capsuleer.

My mother, Amber Funk, is still alive on some planet somewhere. She left me alone with my father when I was a child. My mom is a Templar. She is true Amarrian. I don't know her, but I wish I did.

I've got family back on Amarr Prime, not in the big grand cities like the capital but one of the little tucked away towns that only keeps its name because of tradition. A large walled off compound tucked into a mountainside where extremest conservatism still flourishes. As far as I know everyone is still alive and doing about as well as can be expected. Parents still spouting stifling religious doctrine. A sister who I fear my parents will kill long before anything else does. I maintain an apartment and one of my body drones nearby in case she ever asks for help getting out but she always tells me she can convince them to drop the crap and start seeing reality again.

It remains the only body drone I've ever weaponized.

My mother currently lives on Caldari Prime aiding in the rebuilding efforts after the titan fell. My father currently acts as a business consultant on Gallente Prime, also aiding with the reconstruction project, investing in Caldari construction firms. We used to live on a station out on the border of Gallente/Caldari space, but that got blown up. The rest of my family is doing their own thing, happily... I hope.

A little trust goes a long way. The less you use, the further you'll go.
