I logged onto the Neocom this morning to some interesting stories.

It seems that "Reuseable Soldier Technology" which has been in and out of development for some years now, is now being showcased by Mordu's Legion. It seems they're looking for lab rats as well

So if you feel like leaving the luxury, the lifestyle, the dirt and replacing it with... exactly the same exept literal dirt, by all means become the lab rat.

I know a handful of people who are signing up for it, I'm not and clearly don't have the time for it. I'm actually going to wait for it to become mainstream before offering it to various people in my employment... some of which are being weeded out right now.

I have been developing the technology concurrent with most other researchers in the field, I smell ISK to be had.. My agents will be on the field eventually..

It's no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then, and it's a poor sort of memory that only works backward.

I don't really like getting dirty, sweaty, or being near bugs.....I suppose I have to keep an eye on this though, while I have no interest as a capsuleer I do have a great deal of assets on planets that need to be secured against threats, however, I certainly won't be the one doing the securing.

I always thought that the point of being a capsuleer was that I could just get others to do that kind of stuff.

Are you saying that Mordu Legion is developing some kind of new technology to create "super soldier" that is now known to public. Didn't know that they have an R&D Divisions and the capabilities to do such thing i thought they were mercenaries.

I agree. The thought of a capsuleer considering this an option is unthinkable. Granted, I doubt the Legion is silly enough to allow capsuleers to give up the privileges of a capsuleer to be a simple soldier, even a reusable one. Abominations we may be, but we are not expendable. Though, perhaps we have friends who were found wanting with regard to capsuleer training and will be accepted here as sort of a... consolation prize.

You may have misunderstood the technology.

Mordu's Legion hasnt stated where they have aquired this technology, wether they developed this etc. Indeed this is pretty much the only cofirmation of what so far has been mostly rumour.

Incidentally, people who claim they are developers of this tech should be filed under "possible bull-shitters" unless they present hard proof.

Some people like ground under their feet. Not to mention find it more honest than playing demi-god.

In any case I'm toying with the idea of signing up. Depends if I'm eligible or not.

You (and most other people) would be very surprised at just how big Mordu's Legion is. It's pretty much grown to the level where it's actually a small empire. They certainly would have R&D facilities of their own. Having said that, I would have thought that a project this size and complexity would have been beyond their capabilities.

However, I wouldn't be surprised if they did this in collaboration with someone else, or even just running the trials for them.

But on a related thought, you don't think this has anything to do with the events at Pike's Landing, do you?

I'm also with you on any capsuleer here claiming to have a finger in that pie. Likely just talking out their exhaust pipe.

If they don't get it to you soon, I should be able to give you a short summary if you want. Drop me a line when you get a chance.

As frequently podded as I am (and more or less comfortable with it, given that I sometimes pod myself for travel) this sort of sounds like something I'd be mentally prepared for.

It's just a question of eligibility and capability.

Well I would assume they would want some people with combat experience. Simulated training programs and skill injections can only go so far. There are some things you just have to learn on your own.

So question is, how well do you hold your rifle, fly a dropship or pilot an MTAC?

I learned how to use a blaster shotgun back on the plantation!

I really wouldn't mind being splattered across the side of a bunker, so long as it helped the war effort. And this cloning system works.
