is there a way to hide the motd? it's blocking the clickable images in the bottom of the launcher. (or maybe move it somewhere so its not hiding stuff) edit: oh, fail. you can just click on it... nevermind. Lol

I am making progress, yes, but there are still a few issues to sort out. The biggest thing is launching multiple clients, or rather ensuring they don't crash when one of them is closed.

The Windows version seems stable enough for now so I am focused on the Mac version until it catches up.

Is the client crash issue the same one that is happening now or seperate?

I love the new launcher, and I love the new settings.

Not sure if this has been said before but:

Now we can have settings for different uses. I can totally reconfigure my options for logi, or exploration, or PVE, and restart the client in the new configuration whenever I want to change.

This is huge for me.

However, if you want to help, please make it so we can "clone" settings. I don't want to have to redo all of my channels etc. So if I can build a base template and then clone it for my additional setting profiles that would be amazing!

I'm loving the ability to save multiple accounts in the launcher and so on. Oen problem I have with it so far - it is really tiny on a 4k display. If you would configure it to scale with the display resolution, it would make it less of an eye strain to use.

if your current/old settings are good for you, simply drag the old and drop it 3 times on 3 new profiles


can't be done twice of course but should help you with chats and common settings. then configure your stuff

Is anyone having problems with saving fittings? For some reason, I cannot save fittings on Rivr's client anymore, but can do so without problems on another of my accounts.

Do you have problem when saving as simply store fitting in the fit browse, or exporting as in dumping a xml for EFT?

- dumping as xml is in "Document" folder for you user in windows, so no relation to settings files

- saving in the personal or corporate is now server side (not in your settings) since some years ago.
saving is limited to 200 fits, it should says how many you have in the fit browser


so i don't see how beta launcher could affect this, but maybe you cache is corrupt, this can lead to some funky stuff. delete your cache (no harm in doing so and possible fix)

Nevermind that, the problem was me being in Corp fittings and not personal fittings. I'll probably never get used to the fitting browser staying in section that was selected in the last session. :s

I have noticed that the beta launcher still shows the server as ONLINE when the server is actually OFFLINE for downtime. Refreshing and/or reloading the launcher has no affect. Just always shows ONLINE.

I really like the new launcher. I dont know if this has been mentioned before havent read through the whole thread but as it stands the only thing i miss is ingame news (scope) and more importantly a direct link to patch notes.

otherwise this launcher is miles ahead of the old ones in features, especially the multi account launch feature.

New version 976381

I like the new icon

Fixed : the white windows poping up when double clicking on the account running and the client was minimized

almost fixed : restored client when doubleclicking get set to orginal windows size : it still happens when using virtual desktop even when the client was maximized. (doubleclic on laucher swtich to correct VD but client is not maximized anymore)
I say almost because it happened once on a single desktop, but I can't reproduce it, so not really an issue.

right clic still doable in the launcher UI. is it even a bug? (I think is should not be possible, but that's just me)

and my ongoing request of doubleclicking to launch individual account


I'm waiting mostly for the Webster team update, I miss the video, links and news from old launcher. I hope they get some things out soon ;)

I have two feature suggestions:


  1. Use a master password:
    2. Once you enter the credentials for all your accounts, you should be able to "save" them with a master password. This will save you from typing all the passwords for multiple accounts again without compromising security - so the next time you only type the master password, along with some other data that makes the combination unique (such as e-mail address linked to one of your accounts), instead of retyping passwords for each account you want to log in with.

  2. Minimize launcher to system tray:
    3. To prevent alt-tabbing between clients (or between one client and an external application, like a spreadsheet) bringing you back to the launcher.

Workarounds are not bugfixes.

beta launcher shows 12291 people are online during downtime/patching. that can't be right.

Sorry team but I'm going to have to go back to the old launcher until the beta is a bit more reliable.

I've found the following issues with it
- The MOTD or News announcements (however you think of them) are intrusive and take up vital screen space with no visible way of closing them
- The server online status is broken and never updates for downtime
- The launcher doesn't seem to want to update the client in some situations (such as tonight where it only updated once I went to the old client)
- Important information like dev blogs and extended DT notifications are no longer available in the launcher, this one is only a mild annoyance since I can get the information elsewhere but it does make the new client inferior in this regard.

I can see the new client being a vast improvement over the old one once it's finished but it's got some work to go.

Could not connect to the specified address. Odds are that you have not established an internet connection, the server isn't running, or the server address or port number was wrong.

is anyone else haveing troubles ...?

The server is down until 12:30 UTC, the beta launcher is lying to you when it says the server is up and people are online.

Seriously fix "online" status in the new launcher, it has been like this for weeks. (even the old launcher gets this right)
If you can't get that right what hope is there for the important things.

Like not having to double click when you want to change Eve Profile (that popup should close once you select a profile) - Select profile, close - More clicks is just unprofessional and time wasting for players.

The new launcher icon - Pretty bad and in the task bar simply looks like a character I haven't started. Confusing when your multiboxing and see an item in your task bar that looks like you forgot to log in a character.

My opinions are mine.

It really is getting harder and harder to justify $23 a month for each sub.

there's no way i can click the accept button with all that ads blocking it.

if you want people start using them you should remove the ads or make some way to remove the ads or better just make another accept icon to clickable elsewhere
