Current system:

$20 = 4050AUR which will buy you any AUR item you desire

AUR items however can be sold in-game on the eve market between 60mil isk to 600mil

anyone else see a problem with this? this means if you no longer want to earn your isk you can simply just use your wallet to buy items you can score quick isk

New system that needs to happen:

1. items in the AUR store should not be sellable in the eve market
2. items should be character bound and redeemable only
3. AUR should be removed from the cash shop, instead find new ways to earn AUR through gameplay and group activities such as ghost sites, incursions and killmail rewards
4. ship skins should only be applied to individual ships not all ships in order to bring in consistent income for ccp

Or just buy a plex and sell it for isk.

This exactly.

$20 = 1 PLEX = ~1.15 Billion

Why AUR when you can PLEX?

Why do you think AUR can be bought with RL cash?
More RL cash for CCP.
Why is it used to buy items?
Micro-transactions.
Why do they want to use AUR to regulate PLEX?
More people tempted by the shop of cosmetics.

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

What fool buys Aurum items with ISK?
What fool buys Aurum to buy Aurum items?

Reminds me of what P.T. Barnum said.

"There's a sucker born every minute."

And...keep on flyin' SAFE (ly) !

Cool

PS Due to this earthshaking whistle blowing, a NEW, "more fair" system is in the offing,
and we of course have the OP to thank for bringing about this earth shaking change.
Woo hoo! Gee thanks!

There just isn't anything that can be said!

CCP setting up a real-money-for-ISK market is a really big part of why we don't have any ISK spammers any more.

It's not a cash for isk system. There is no ISK created. The money supply is unaffected. This makes it a -significantly- less big of a deal than you are making it out to be.

To be fair, from the perspective of the person selling AURUM items or PLEX they purchased with RL money for ISK, this is precisely what it looks like.

RMT still happens at lower rates than the CCP exchange rate.
People get banned for proving it.
All CCP need do is purchase some RMT ISK then prosecute them. Can even find lawyers who will take the case and only get paid from the winnings.

Well SOMEBODY has to buy them if "anyone at all" wants to own them.

I also thought isk was no object? As in irrelevant? So why would someone spending a few million isk be a fool if hes got trillions.

Oh, I perfectly understand, Hal Morsh — a mission like this requires courage, skill, and heroism… qualities you are clearly lacking. Have you forgotten you're one of the bloody immortals!?

What someone else already said.

Buy a plex for 20$, and sell on the EVE market for a billion isk.

Just don't pilot around with the things in your cargo hold, you will definately be blown up as soon as you undock regardless where you are.

What do you think has been happening with PLEX for all these years?

No new ISK. Buy and sell plex - more ISK than AUR.
