Eve is a solo game. My trillions say so.

Hating is free, that's why poor people do it the best.

I think the original poster's troubles are in his head with relating socially. In prior posts he left a null sec alliance because he felt he was a burden and not good enough.
Blob warfare ... not good enough for being an F1 monkey?!

Only thing that keeps coming up. Join a NPSI group or make a group you are comfortable fighting with.

Not even once

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

Sadly, most pvp players in eve atm are the stack the odds so far in my favor people choose not to pvp. And then scratch their head wondering where the pvp went. There is no fix for this kind of pvp player.

EVE makes more cash per person, but it's players aren't as social. CCP can't do anything about alt's and i'm not sure if less social or no alts are worse for the game.

Say that to the full fleet that goes out and does something in NS. The alliance with hundreds even thousands of players. Or a gate camp defending one's space where people from different corporations, alliances in the coalition join the fleet, get on comms and chat while shooting every hapless pilot jumping into them (a fine example of spontaneous organization in fact).

There is plenty of players who are social. That your corp is not all that social means you should find another corp. One where the players are social and will fleet up and do stuff.

Stack the odds the other way and hunt them until they quit, break up or change.

Heh...my alliance, like many NS alliances, has a set of doctrine ships, both for the coalition and our own. We even have a skill plan, and so long as you are working on that skill plan, even if you are low SP, then that's fine. We even advise pilots what to train for first (e.g. logi is almost always welcome, an interceptor or 3 is good for scouting and tackling, dictors are often very useful) and training for those things wont take very long once basic support skills are out of the way.

Further there are other things you can do as well. If you can get the roles, fueling jump bridges is a big help. Fueling towers as well. Nowadays, even just helping boost the defense indices helps as well.

So yeah, I think you might be on to something Jenshae.

Posting in a thread begun back in August the OP hasn't revisited in months. After his input and the ensuing discussion it became:

I'm a tuff guy. Be a tuff guy.

I'm a tuff guy that plays right.
Be a tuff guy that plays right.

I'm tuffer'n you from how i play.

So?

So?

So what?

And now it's resurrected to say HTFU?

oy vey.

There just isn't anything that can be said!

They were literally persistent enough to prevent any plexing, and my presence in the system only encouraged them to sit groups in every plex. So since they weren't plexing to begin with but were only in the sites in an attempt to catch me I simply left for good, returning near the end I would notice a site I opened in the morning untouched by maybe a minute their way since I left. They would still return quite quickly.

Again they aren't around since I haven't returned for about a week, and others (unrelated to FW) seem to have piled that way.

Moving sounds like the right strategy -- Dotlan can help you find a quieter system during your regular playing time window.

Do you suspect your protagonists were using a watch list to know when to camp you? I'm not a fan of cloaky campers, but Instead of logging in and out, just leave it logged in when you go to work or run errands -- then they won't know immediately when you're active.

It sounds like they were very motivated to attack you -- make sure you don't provoke or give tears in local unless you want the attention.

see?, not everyone in code is a blathering idiot... (just poking fun of course)

"Don't play solo, EvE is not a really "solo type of play" game

Remember:
The best ship in eve is friendship, the best tank in eve is your corp and alliance mates by your side.

There are a few (and I mean a very few) people who play eve and primarily do it solo, but those folks are few and far between.
They are not in FW AFAIK

I give code some grief even though my main chats with some of them while in systems with them and such, but, code would not be the entity that it is if it were some one person playing solo.

there are no huge successful alliances of 1 person

I'm not trying to bust your chops though, just trying to share stuff i've learned playing this game over the years.

Find a group of folks that you get along with and fly their wing, have fun, mine, rat, build or destroy things alongside them and laugh at things when possible.

if you do that, you'll love the game like many of us do, if you find a solo niche for yourself, you'll love the game like some folks do, but if not, you'll always have a bad taste in your mouth about the game and you'll miss out on the enjoyment that being a part of New Eden can be.
