Amarr & Caldari Allies in Faction Warfare

Hello to all.
I am currently operating in the Am/Min warzone picking fights with Minmatar wherever I can. I enjoy this, to say that I am unsatisfied with activity there would be wrong. There is pretty much always something to do. However, as a character with somewhat lower SP (6.5M) I cannot participate in every fleet composition as I don't always meet the required ship type. Therefor, i'd like to expand my horizons.

As such, i'd like to stage in the Cal/Gal warzone and have a few more opportunities for engagements. The issue here is that I don't know many (any) folks currently active in the Caldari Militia. Before I stage there, i'd like to have access to an intel channel or two and find a group to fleet with whenever possible. Solo work is fun, but not always viable for me as I am still learning the 'do's and dont's' of solo tactics and am not always comfortable with my lack of SP.

I'm not looking to join a new corporation or any such thing. I enjoy being with the Praetorians and we have lot's of fun in and out of the warzone. I would simply like to branch out and kill new people for a change. Many in PIE and the Amarr militia are getting ready for succession trials so I feel this will leave me with less to do in the future, and would like another avenue of PvP in FW.

To summarize:
1. Requesting access to Caldari Militia intel channels.
2. Would like to familiarize with an active group in the area and help the State as the State has helped the Empire in previous times.
3. I have an idea of where i'll be staging but am open to suggestions.

Thanks for reading. Respond here if appropriate or message me in-game at any time.

You do know it's pretty damn near certainty and confirmed that the allied mechanic at all between the two sides of the whole FW will be done with. It'll be all open season on everyone, a 4-way FW. Unless you can get blue'd to particular Caldari player corps or pilots, we in Amarr FW will soon show on overview as orange.

This post saddens me.

Valeria, just because you cannot fly the main ships comprising a doctrine does not mean you can't contribute. this is a common misunderstanding by new pilots.

Support ships, in all their flavours, are what make a fleet become more than just a blob of F1 whores. Scouting ahead, covering retreat or gathering Intel on hostile a are all things that need 0 sp,just a human mind. Electronic warfare ships can render multiple ships useless and likewise defensive support ships can make your allies far more effective in their role.

I often fly support for fleets rather than main doctrine ships because more of the piloting is left to you, no anchor to follow, no primary to shoot, your with the fleet but it's you who makes the decisions. Only exception to this is where support groups have sub commanders of their own, logi groups have this more often than others.

So in summary, don't change warzones just because you can't fly a certain ship in a certain way, you can always contribute to a fleet from day 1 in eve. Granted a lot of FCs undervalue support but if you want some more detailed info on it feel free to contact me in game.

Let me know the plans, endeavours, strengths and weaknesses of modern Amarr Militia and I will give you a tour of Caldari Space :)

Logistic alt corps, FCs and a list of Amarr Mil blues and booster alts may also be brought up in passing conversation.

I have no ulterior motive. I will simply provide advice to my wonderful allies : D

PIE has done deployments to Caldari space working with IRED in the past, IIRC IRED is currently in the Amarr side of the WZ though. I know when I was an officer in Pyre I was willing to work with PIE, you could hit them up, and see about fixing the strained relationship that we used to have, since they are Caldari atm, but used to be in Amarr.

I personally think you are best served by just focusing on the Amarr/Min warzone though, and keep training those Amarr ships (I know that is all PIE flies). Focusing on only one ship type race and focusing on armor tanks means that your SP will quickly become pound for pound more valuable than others since there just isn't as much to train.

Also full disclosure, as a Minmatar RPer, and a Minmatar FW player, it is in my best interest to have more Amarr RPers around to shoot.

Best of luck, hope to see you on the battlefield soon!

Whats wrong with not being able to fly perfectly your corps doctrines? Majority of my fleet time is spent doing the smaller supporting roles. I CAN fly doctrines decently, but frequently opt to do other roles. If you can't fly what they want/need, find a niche that suits you and focus on that as your main activity. I'm not saying to ignore training for doctrines, but if you can't currently do them you can turn the battle in your fleets favor by flying logi or ewar. It's always fun to show elitists up by flying what's "beneath them" and allowing things to happen by flying tackle. Heh to me that's the fun part of fleets, getting kills is just a bonus.

What he said.

But if you still want to check out the Caldari/Gallente WZ, I recommend staging from Ichoriya. Black Rise is were the action is.

My man - as many have shared - you are a valuable asset to the Empire. Going to another WZ won't change the perceptions of the new groups if they are elitist. If they fly higher skill doctrines then you'll have the same problem. Contribute what you can, when you can and get in with a crew of pilots that accept you, encourage you, and assist you in your efforts, and that value teamwork.

We need pilots, and we need pilots in our WZ.
