Greetings.
I still have to get my feet wet in PvP, after some reading I think FW may be the best kind of PvP I'm seeking, however, I do have some questions that can be best answered here on the forums.

1.How ''viable'' is it to participate/represent all 4 factions in FW? I know I'm starting out but I plan on fighting with the faction that will give me the best ISK possible of all 4 factions.

2.Standings, I know that being in FW long enough will ruin your standings, but I still want to be able to travel and do stuff around new eden without being locked out.
Is it possible to keep a positive standing with all 4 main factions while doing FW? I do a bit of market and I remember reading that having a good standing is a must if you plan on keeping at it.

3.Logistics, Do you guys keep a huge reserve of ships or modules, all set up to use, or do you casually stroll into a market to buy each and everything part everytime you want to PvP?

4.Staging system/home, how do you guys decide where to set up shop ? Is it because of the local market, or the proximity to a FW hub?

Thanks in advance for the answers.

1. Damn farmers
2. Your standings will be bu**ered for which ever factions you are fighting against
3. Have a big stock, nothing more annoying than having people constantly going to amarr
4. Ussualy to do with logistics/how close to the action you are

1. I hope you will appreciate how you put your Isk to use as opposed to how much you gather. No one likes a Scrooge McDuck without any nephews.
2. An evening of plexing will allow you to knock your standings back down if you fall too far down with security tags. I buy them at a hub and shuttle them to the appropriate station. Fit as many as you can carry and you can put the spares up for a profit or just leave them there for the next time. You can still dock anywhere in Empire space, regardless of what your standings are. You will have to train your remote market skills, but distance will play more of a hindrance than sec status. Leave market stuff to a spare slot alt, 3. who can handle all your logistics needs as well easily. Just use contracts to switch items over to your main and back. Your biggest concern is hulls. If you can move those, modules should not be a problem. A hisec with two connections to low should be a nice place for keeping stuff, if you have no Isk or way to affordably move them in . I have things scattered all over, just how I like it. I used to move minerals in and build my frigs in bulk. During Inferno it was much quieter and I mined stuff pre-aligned out in a slow covetor while having a beer. Never lost it and made many Navy Cruisers and on down for myself out of the BPC's. Probably not a great idea these days; there are a lot more specialized Cov Ops/non D-scan ships now. Do avoid going to your respective trade hub to refit after every loss. This will drain and discourage you very quickly.

4. #4 is a special one for me. I believe it is different for every pilot, depending on his playstyle and availability & price of equipment. I prefer stations with an assembly factory, where others would prefer one with a clone facility, because I'm still a dirty indie deep inside that can't help building ****. It is as enjoyable sometimes as roaming around, and even more so when I use something I built in the hunt. The ships feel more personal. It is time consuming, but this way you don't depend too much on a freighter pilot. Check your market and ask your militia brothers and sisters what lowsec station(s) are best stocked by competing privateers. Not a bad way to make Isk if .01 Isk battles are your thing. High sec margins are weak. ::pukes::

1. Not really. You will loose standings against your opposing faction quite rapidly, so you need to choose

2. Lets break it down
a) Enemy High Sec: If you join any FW mililtia you can't move freely in your enemy's high sec systems anymore, because you will be hunted by the faction navy (and WTs). Of course if you only want to farm you could use multiple alts, but "damn farmers" :)
b) Sec standing: No problem if you refrain from shooting neutrals
c) Faction standings: see 1

3. It usually best to keep a reserve of your most used ships with fittings. Always use a neutral alt to get to a market hub since they are many WTs in high sec hunting for you.

4. For starters its best to stage in high sec system near FW low sec space that has a decent market. e.g. for CalMil good staging systems are Ichoriya or Onnamon.

1. if you have two separate characters you can, since Min/Gal and Cal/Amarr have standings tied together, but opposing, that being said reputation matters in FW, best to stick to one if you can. People have had a fair bit of trepidation working with me since I used to be in the opposing militia since spying is quite common in all of the militias. If you want access to fleets it is best to play politics a bit and try and keep people happy with you. That is, get out there and PVP, don't just farm, and don't switch sides all the time.

2. No. It doesn't matter what your standings are you are still in trouble. I am not less than -5 to Amarr but they will still shoot me just because I am in Min-mil, I could be +10 even to Amarr it wouldn't matter. Enemy faction police will shoot me and enemy militia players will shoot me regardless of the standings.

3. Black frog/PUSHX, or haul your own goods en masse. Occasionally there will be a low sec market hub, but that is still only good in a pinch, best to have ships already fit up, filled with Ammo and drones grouped up and ready to fly.

4. Generally speaking, I make the choice depending on response time to where we want to oplex or dplex, along with jump range for a JF and ease of DST logistics from a trade hub factored in as secondary factors. Most people however, base where their corp has hangers so they don't really get involved in making those choices themselves.
