Seems the launcher has a limit.

3 clients selected to load.
2 load ok, 3rd, well it loads as far as getting bulk data yada yada then nothing but a black screen.
Change it to another profile, still the same.

Open select profile, change profile, click start, it goes through the motions until it comes to loading character selection, which doesn't happen.

Client won't start via new launcher, .exe, old launcher. Using .exe it got as far as "local session corrupt restart". No amount of restarting matters, I have at least 1 character that is now unplayable.
Repair tool completed with errors - C:\Users\Xxx\AppData\Local\Temp\nse3995.tmp\repair.exe.log - does not exist.

This is only affecting 1 account - My other accounts login with no problems.

Oh and the issues with my previous post - Where are the clients settings - I'd like an answer to. It may actually be related to this isuue.
The generic Eve folder doesn't help much when your running multiple clients. Don't know how the Exe file managed it, but it just did, now with a launcher that is supposed to contain this information, it isn't there.

PS; the new launcher is still not going to "offline" when TQ goes down.

Please file a bug report at https://community.eveonline.com/support/bug-reports/ - put my name in the description so it gets routed to me, give as much detail as you can and I´ll follow up on this on Monday.
The next morning (after my computer had been shut down for a few hours) The account started launching normally.
Was weird. I have been running log server at start up so if it happens again I can submit a bug report for it.

My opinions are mine.

  If you don't like them or disagree with me that's OK.- - - - - - Just don't bother Hating - I don't care

It really is getting harder and harder to justify $23 a month for each sub.

Great job folks, figured out how to use my custom settings for all my clients, been signing from a steam install of eve with 3x clients with very little issues.

I do however have a feature request that I'd like to see the account status for each client prior to sign in, and perhaps from the launcher apply/purchase PLEX or resub from that point.

A later feature for sure, but I think many multi client aficionados would appreciate such a feature that reminds them of this.

Edit: also would it be a bad idea to pin number the launcher, especially that it's remembering for me at least complex and long passwords.
A simple pin might be needed.

I really love the new Launcher.
Would it be possible to make it remember Monitor, Window Size and Position for each client?
I'm launching several clients and would like to have them running on the same monitors each time, would be so nice to not have to move the Windows around and position them each time.

Keep up the great work!

Any progress on this yet? New launcher apparently defaults to DirectX 11 with no option to change it.

Not a work of launcher. CCP could fix this when they have time to rewrite how client stores it's settings. You can read last few pages more about this.

Good news. DX11 support is coming in mumble 1.3 (whenever that comes out)

First, the glowing praise:

Great job on this launcher, CCP.

I'm an exefile.exe holdout. The current launcher simply has never worked for my eve workflow. This? This works. I've used the beta launcher exclusively since the day it came out and I'm quite happy with it.

Now, the concern:

In the recent update the settings migration was added and the settings were moved from a dropdown to a button that spawns a list of profiles (with renaming! yay!). It no longer allows me to see which profile I have selected for a given account at a glance. Since I don't always launch a given account with the same settings, this means I now need to click into that menu before launching to double-check which settings profile I left active the last time I launched a given account. Is there any way that the present design which is snappy and feels intuitive could pick up that at-a-glance readability that a dropdown menu provides?

If that's not possible or ridiculously intricate I understand, I'm a backend guy not a UI guy for that exact reason.

Again, thanks for bringing the launcher to multi-setting users everywhere, this is really stellar work.

It can but you have to run in either fullscreen or fixed window mode.
I run up to 7 client on 3 monitors and each launches exactly where it was the last time (unless I change it to load elsewhere)

Ohh thank you! I didn't know that.
I'm unfortunately running in Window Maximized (not Fixed) mode with 4 monitors hosting one client each, to make it easy to switch between various applications, or sometimes using Windows Snap feature to run two clients on one monitor.
I'll look into using Fixed mode more, though I'm not sure it will work out for me and I hope it will be possible for the clients to remember also Window mode.

oh god for how long have I asked that, even before this launcher
eve client has a "resolution" settings for windowed mode, which screws everything up

maximized is not even an option in game...

and with this launcher there is a bug : you can bring back windows on top (whatever the mode) by double clicking on the account in the launcher. nice? well try minimize client and double clic, strange things happens when I do that.
event if you don't have the random white windows poping out, you client is reset to default size "_"
still waiting for a dev acknowledgment of the bug

I am trying to use Wilma http://www.manticorelabs.com/downloads/winlayoutmanager/ which does everything you would ever need with windows (I thing even doing a mosaic of fixed windows is doable)

but I can't use that unless devs add a way to identify the client / Account at run level, I asked about it here, no answer
(you can identify a windows when a char is selected, but unless launcher comes with query api, the only way to work is with command line, I asked to add "accounf" in the command line, that has no impact and would help us to tinker a bit)

I'll investigate this.

We are planning to allow character selection in the launcher at some point so there will eventually be an extra cmd line argument to the client.

Could we not get an option to switch character in the client; esc - Close Window - Select Character - Quit Game.
Seems silly having to close a client only to have to log it in again to select a different character on the same account.

I can't find an accept button to get past the license agreement. Also the scrolling of the license text is a bit wonky.

This is a known issue, will be fixed soon. For now, simply resize the window until the button becomes available.

Not sure about other people but this new launcher does little to nothing for me. In order to launch multiple accounts on different monitors I still need to use isboxer. I do not know if multiple screens in full window mode is in the scope of this project but I have seen other people mention it and after 24 pages of reading I have not seen a single dev acknowledge this. I can only assume that silence means it is not a concern or potential issue for further development. With the current state of the beta launcher I have no desire to use it or have it implemented in the future.

If ccp was truly interested in satisfying multiple account users they would address the issue of multiple screens would be addressed. Otherwise whats the point? Sounds like a lot of work for no actual gain. Plus if you are going to have a web gui with images in the background you might want to make them cache or make them smaller in size so it does not take as long to download and render every time you open the launcher.

As I mentioned in https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=6126618#post6126618 we are planning to do more with settings, once the launcher is done.

This has probably been answered already, but since I don't have the attention span to read the whole thread,
can we still use dx9 with the new launcher?
Also, since data is shared between the servers, can I delete anything from the folders where I have Sisi and Duality installed?

Workarounds are not bugfixes.

There is no setting yet for forcing DX9, will be added soon.

As for the second question - there is no need for separate installs anymore to access Sisi and Duality so you ought to be able to delete them, yes.
