Daily life and architecture within New Eden

Greetings caps!

I am looking for some background information about the daily life of the citizen within the great Empires.

Also I would like to know more about their cities.
Architecture, extent, great/famous structures.. etc.
I have found a picture of Caldari Prime and one of Amarr Prime, but they are vague.
Also I have found information about underwater cities.

What kind of traffic systems are they using?

The LAVs in Dust 514 are using wheels, while the tanks are track vehicles.
Considering these things one can assume that the traffic systems in New Eden are not that crazy like in Star Wars for example.

How does the life in the great Empires differ from each other?
I am aware about the big cultural differences, but I am looking for precise information.
Pictures, texts everything!

Soon or later I will order EVE The Burning Life, but I am not that optimistic to find all the answers for my questions.

I hope somebody knows at least something.
My next station are the Short Stories.

If I recall, for locomotion of inanimate objects, the people of New Eden typically use wheels, tracks, maglev rails and thrust-based hovering. There's also alot of walking. There's mention of flying vehicles in the item descriptions of some consumer goods but those get alot fewer attention on them.

As for the cities...

Gallente cities are pretty cyberpunkish with the tall spires and the seedy underbellies with equally seedy bars. Typically, their buildings exhibit curves and have glossy surfaces. Some kind of Future Decor style.

Caldari cities are nothing fancy. Lots of industrial-style architecture, lots of concrete-like materials, very angular, etc. Caldari cities are built for functionality and it's a given they tend to be very utilitarian in design.

Amarr Empire, well, imagine a fusion of the futuristic with the medieval. Tall gold spires, religious imageries, Gothic arches, stained windows, that sort of thing. The roads would be a mix of brick pedestrian crossings with roads more suited for wheeled vehicles.

The Republic on the other hand is very similar to the Caldari State architecture except more rustic and somehow even more barebones. However, expect to see tribal symbols painted on walls to mark territories and quite a few rather out-of-place knick-knacks like hanging amulets and totems and such. There will be wide-open plazas for clan meetings and bazaars not unlike those of a middle eastern marketplace in the midst of the spires and the smoke chimneys.

The Republic is also known for their prefabs for cheap housing, which I believe is an idea taken from the Caldari. Essentially, the houses are stacked blocks, each blocks being an individual residence. When there is a new tenant moving into the apartment, a crane will attach another block onto the existing structure.

The Chronicles in the Eve Website and the Evelopedia should give you more details.

I've edited the post to reflect the pictures from Source.

The Dam Torsad picture was from EON (EVE Online Magazine) that used to be published. The others are from EVE Chronicles.

Eve Universe art-book also has some images of station interiors and infrastructure from Dust 514.
