1. PLEASE let us Move ALL on C: stored datas to an Ordner of our choice!

I used Junctions and now the new Launcher and
C:\Users\MyUserNAme\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE is now hitting the 2GB Mark^^ this will fill my little tiny OS Partition realy fast^^
Even if i (we) can store all settings in a spezific Eve ordner on an other partition/drive we can backup/move arround our whole Eve.

2. Also dont know if someone read it.
Was trying to install the first Multilauncher in an ordner below a directory called "Eve % Co" where other Eve releated stuff and Eve shared cache is locatet next to the Eve install.
This dont worked because the Launcher thought it is the Eve Install directory (who is one deeper)
pls keep this in mind and fix it

3. Other Problem: since i start 6 Clients with 1,5s delay sometimes i got black screens on one or 2 clients. Hitting Esc bring me the settings window and some chatwindows but nothing more.
Had every to close the clients and start again.
Dont know is this a Problem with my System or iits related to the new starting method

4.i use Suspend to Disk after a Dt Period and a start on my System all clients in launcher are red and i cant refresh it. I must restart the Launcher to fix this

5. not realy a problem but: if the launcher updates i got (on win7) a anoying Dos Window for a short time.. i hope this will be fixed in final Version. (dont know why the Launcher wanted today a second time to update and restart itsself

My launcher started loading up as a blank white box. I set it to run in compatibility mode for Windows 7 and it started loading properly. I'm using WIndows 10, and it was set to run as administrator previously. The white box thing was intermittent in the past, and 100% consistent only today.

It's doing it again.

Please file a bug report, mention my name in the description so it gets sent my way. Give as detailed a description of your symptoms as you can and include system specs, including any virus protection and firewall setup.

Attach the logs from %LOCALAPPDATA%/CCP/EVE/Launcher.

I´m hoping to add diagnostics to the launcher to help figure these sort of things out, but first I need to know what the edge cases are that are preventing the launcher from doing its thing correctly, so this info would help a lot.

Thanks for trying the launcher and providing this info.

I LOVE the new launcher on my older computer but I am running into a similar problem on a new windows 10 computer.

I have a fresh install of Windows 10 and when i try to run the Launcher Beta it loads into memory at 3.3 mb, there is no CPU or disk activity, no window and nothing happens. I can leave it for hours in this state with no change.

Thanks for the info.

We have already contacted Norton, and hopefully this should be fixed shortly on their end.

Mac version
The Mac version of the launcher is getting close, but it is taking longer than we were hoping. We hope to start in house testing next week, and make it available to players for early testing soon after that.

When the new Mac launcher is ready for client testing can we have a Mac launcher test day where we get like 6 million skill points for finally getting to help out? Ugh

Once again, I turn my Crossfire setup off, and the launcher works without issue...

Maybe you will catch it this time?

Hello Launcher people!!

I have encountered what could be a bug. I tried to use the launcher and an update was necessary but the launcher quit out before downloading it. When I tried to fire the launcher up again, it gave me this warning...

C:\EVE\Launcher\Qt5WebEngineCore.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support.

So, i've tried to redownload the launcher and it will not let me since the launcher is already in its designated place and has no repair feature.

Suggestions?

Late Edit: I can launch through the bin exe file, but I get the error whenever I try to use the launcher.

We have seen previous reports about VirusScanners flagging this files as malware. If you have a virus scanner on your machine, you may want to white-list the EVE/Launcher folder, along with your shared cache folder (you will find the location under settings->shared cache settings)

The installer seems to do nothing no matter what I try.

I'm using windows 10 - Home

rebooted machine
tried running as admin
with and without compatability windows 7 and 8

When ran as admin, i get the UAC popup and click yes but still doesn't seem to do anything.

I've not seeing anything eve related in my task manager.

I tried disabling windows Defender.

The filename is "EveLauncher-973659.exe"

Looking forward to having the ability to launch multiple clients with a CCP launcher.

We'll investigate this Crossfire issue, but I'm rather afraid this might be a driver issue. The launcher isn't even a graphics heavy application so I find this rather surprising. I'll ping AMD about this - if they can reproduce it on their end, they should be able to fix it or tell me what we're doing wrong.

We do monitor these forum threads but we don't always respond to every issue. It's not because we're ignoring you, we're just busy working on stuff!

This is weird - we've tested the launcher on a freshly installed Windows 10 Home and it runs fine, and certainly installs without problems. I installed it without problems on my home machine with Windows 10.

Can you think of any unusual configuration you might have? Any virus protection beyond Defender?

Could the file be corrupt? Can try downloading it again?

Do you have access to a different computer? Try downloading from there and try to install on that machine - at least see if the installer starts up. If that works, put that copy on a USB stick and take to your machine.

I'm japanese player. I tested a beta launcher.(I use Windows 7 64bit.)

1. NEXON-logo is pushed for login.
2. An ID (and PASSWORD) input window open.

Problem

1. There is a problem with the indication size or the reduced scale for an ID (and PASSWORD) input window.
2. "Login" button isn't functioning, and it's only displayed.
Therefore, NEXON-user cannot log in with a beta launcher.

Because this is a beta launcher, I think that I should repair it slowly.

PS. I am sorry in poor English which did machine translation. Thank you for reading.

Windows 10 Home

Started the launcher to check for update to server being off line and discovered the following problems;

Launcher reports there are 12,291 players on line, however the server is quite clearly off line and closed for updates today.

Hard disk activity goes up to 100% and system slows to a crawl, eventually the launcher produces a ‘Not Responding’ pop up from Windows and it can be closed.

Otherwise it has worked fine until today.

I had the same issue as above "Launcher reports there are 12,291 players on line" but the servers were off line for the update.

Ok just tried it again and the launcher has updated the server status to VIP MODE 12 players connected.

Apart from this today I have not had any running issues with the new launcher

Windows 10 Pro 64bit.

Been having this issue with the sisi client installed via the beta launcher for about a week now, and it started doing it with the TQ client this morning after Parallax was released.

http://puu.sh/l7UEd/d1a5b658d8.png

Get that popup every time I try to start a client.

As far as I can tell, no repair tool exists for clients installed via the beta launcher.

Launcher is set to "Release" version type.

I just fixed an issue where corrupt files made it up to the CDN. Try restarting the launcher, see if it works now.

Tried it just a few minutes ago. Still getting the error.

Edit - spent some time troubleshooting w/ CCP Avalon (and RnB through him) on Slack. We eventually got it to run by running the launcher as administrator, but I also submitted a bug report (EBR-52996) that I think he passed along to you guys. :)

found a bug with the new launcher which is quite persific.
i started running a maze and the launcher started crashing my Nvida drivers.
i rebooted thinking that it was posibly just another probelm that caused the launcher to crash and once agin when i ented the sit and droped my drones (5 caldarin navy wasp) it crashed the driver and the launcher closed.
i have replicated this twise both in exsact serumstances.

I figured out whats blocking it, but not sure why.

I have xampp installed and the windows 10 sdk debugger gave some odd mods being loaded results.

After a few 'go's it fails with this:

Quote:
ModLoad: 73bb0000 73c25000 C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\uxtheme.dll
ModLoad: 71f30000 71f4d000 C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\dwmapi.dll

*** ERROR: Symbol file could not be found. Defaulted to export symbols for C:\WINDOWS\system32\wow64cpu.dll -
wow64cpu!TurboDispatchJumpAddressEnd+0x536:

After renaming c:\xampp to c:\xampp.disabled the launcher starts.

I'm not sure what on my system is deciding it needs to use the OpenSSL libraires from xampp to run your launcher but it seems to be the culprit.

If I figure out anything else that might be helpful I'll add that later.
