Changes to the way you run level fives?

So alot of people use things like rattles to run lvl 5 missions and just drop a mobile depot and refit as needed. With the addition of not being able to refit while under a weapons timer that means this option would go out the window..

Discuss?

Should it be a limited engagement timer.. Meaning to get killed things such as a stealth bomber would need to sneak up and aggro you before you had a chance to refit..

OR

Should it be just how it is to make things harder?

Yeah it is a weapons timer which still gives a tackler the ability to sneak up on a target and say smartbomb them one cycle to prevent a refit but that also still allows the missioner/ plexer to anchor a mobile depot at each stationary spot and be able to refit if it is pre anchored while people try to get to it to kill it..

This will make the carebear that warps to his mobile depot refits to cloak and disappears a thing of the past but it still makes it to easy to smash dscan a bunch.

I think making it an aggro timer including npc aggro would give a nice boost to pvp and boost to recons that are immune to dscan while also limiting some of the near impossible carebear tactics that have become more common?

Also Imagine if a smartbomb decloaked someone.. So the cloak MWD will still work but an organized gate camp would with some luck have the ability to keep you from cloaking back getting you caught.

As it stand a mildly experienced pilot can navigate near any space with the cloak mwd trick in near any subcapital hull.

Bubbles are the only thing that stands any chance of catching someone and leave low out to dry.

Also imagine catching all those cloaking t3s nullified in null/low

Opinions?

You don't get weapons timers for shooting npcs so pretty much everything you've said is wrong.

No. Shooting NPCs should not give a weapons timer.

Oh, and maybe his reading skills would be better, if your writing skills weren't so bad. About as bad as your idea.

In terms of PvE the only ships that would regularly get weapon timers would be marauders. It'd nerf some of the more interesting and fun things you can do with it and that would be a shame as that would remove content form the game without a good reason. In fact removing Marauders from the WH related stuff they can do because they can refit while bastioned would actually mean less potential PvP content.

On SISI you get Weapon Timer upon attacking NPCs. Dunno if the feature will come to TQ

I dont think a full blown weapons timer but a refit timer based on weapon activation I think
so if you go to a plex anchor a depot run plex smashing dscan and see a baddie you cant refit to scrams to get away from npcs with points to run away..

Refitting in space is fine put i think it should base the refit timer on weapon activation

I think it will add alot more risk to higher end pve and bring more pvp options and situations

Actually commit to a fight rather then have 17 ways to run away and cloak

and then when you if you escape the plex if i as the tackler manage to aggro you even if not a point you are stuck running around system till you can refit and cloak..

No more warp out of plex to mobile depot refit to cloak and dissappear

If PvE content is no longer profitable because they get caught and blown up all the time now in your little utopia, then PvE players will no longer take part in the content. This will thus result in reduced possible PvP content. Perhaps you should adapt and become a better PvP player. I hear theres ships now that don't show up on D-Scan.

Umm good pvers literally never get caught and are completely safe with current mechanics due to mobile depots
ou will still have all the time in th world to get out of a plex ie mjd whatever if you see the tacklers entering your plex or have a scout/ smashing dscan

This would bring more balance to it

i catch people all the time because there isnt always a station and the area i live has alot of chokepoints and nerds to camp them

it would bring alot more balance..

Maybe you should learn to pve and not be a scrub

I'm pretty sure if you reinforce their depot, they can't use it. Just saying.

Im pretty sure if someone is 3 rooms into a plex and see you with either dscan or a scout that they can refit and warp off before you get to them

prob can actually anchor a depot and refit before you can land enough points to hold them.. no one cares about the depot its about being able to refit to stabs

again learn to pve

Kinda hard to see combat recons on d-scan. Learn to PVP.

But you can easily see everything else and combat recons can be seen by a gate scout

Meaning 90 percent of the time you are perfectly safe

All I'm hearing in this thread is, "I suck at catching people running anomalies. CCP please fix it so I don't have to work hard."
