warping (20 seconds)

warping (20seconds)
kill 1-6npc ships (10 seconds to 40 seconds)
warping

warping
kill 1-6 npc ships

repeatedly read log 120 times... and that is how my afernoon in eve went

Has ratting ever changed.... ever?

Would some dynamic content be too much to ask? (I know officers once every two years and faction spawn one every couple days, as well as the hauling spawns once every couple days)

Also... what are the rats actuall doing in nullsec system asteroid belts? I have never seen them actually mining or heard of a nullsec miner getting killed by them

This needs to be implemented. It would stop botting. Mining boring? Start some blackjack with the rest of your crew and have sexual relations with space prostitutes and catch space STIs! Brilliant!

I just think somethings wrong with nullsec ratting when the most dangerous aspect is getting stuck on an asteroid when your trying to warp out.

Even that doesnt happen much anymore... arent those npcs supposed to be dangerous...

CCP have no answer. We saw that when they piled 95% buffers on to Incursion rats.

Not to sound like that was a blame comment, they try to give rats ewar and it turns out I-Win. The trouble with rats is,t hey don't have SP, Implants or ship bonuses. Giving them all that stuff would be a monumental undertaking and CCP fear it would be percieved as turning EVE in to a PvE game, igniting the PvP bear tantrums we all love to watch.

So the PVP players will complain that an aspect of the game that they never touch (PVE) is being changed? That'd be like Blizzard changing a boss' scripting and all of a sudden the arena players, who have never set foot into a raid, start ranting and raving.

(Not a shot at you, a shot at the PVP side of the EVE community...and CCP...because it's CCP. Lol)

You might be logical in your conclusion but history says otherwise.

Aurum was cosmetic and completely unrelated to anything PvP in EVE. Yet the tantrums, shooting monuments, rage posting and all the tinfoil hat claims of pay to win to come from Aurum killed the development.

more seriously - NPCs should have better AIs and be more of a challenge (you can e-peen how wonderful a PvP player you are as much as you like but there are times when we all got to Pve - isk, sec status etc.) - and perhaps if you needed a PvP fit to kill them then perhaps the carebear/pvp'rs divide would not be so great.

I think rats are there to give combat players something to do while they guard miners and wait for PVP stuff to happen. At least it seems like that was the original design philosophy.

Yes, we all know it doesn't work.

I know sometimes it's difficult to realize just how much you spend on incidental things each month or year, but seriously, EVE is very cheap entertainment compared to most things... If you are a smoker, smoke one less pack a week and pay for EVE, with money left over to pick up a cheap bundle of flowers for the EVE widow upstairs.

I've never found a belt rat that I couldn't kill with a solid PVP fit. I only need to PvE fit for missions, because there's 30 rats all shooting the same damage type at once.

That is exactly the point. If NPCs in missions were more pvp like. Relying on a better AI than shear force of numbers then fits might be closer, the experience would be closer too and the gret divide in the players might be less
