If the original development team had developed it for PC rather than PS3 they still would have screwed it up. With the current team there is a chance they will do it right. So maybe it was for the best...

EVE is golden on PC. Valkyrie is golden on PC. Gunjack is.... Gunjack.

Dust, however, really needs to be on console simply for integrity reasons. Hit scan based FPS is simply too vulnerable to hacking and the ability to play for free means there is no deterrent from creating accounts purely to make the lives of others a living hell in pubs. And we all know just how fast CCP customer service responds to support tickets.... yea. I don't think Archdukey is up to the task on fighting an army of undead hackers.

PS4 will serve it well. CCP just needs to make it happen.

Yeah, noone at all plays FPSs on a PC..........

The point he's trying to make is that it's easier to use hacks in a PC game than it is on a console simply because a console has very limited software.

Yeah, I know, saying that is practically heresy but as a PC gamer myself, it's something we have to admit is an issue.

Exactly that. I'm a PC enthusiast myself but I recognize some games are more ideal for the platform than others.

That and, if we're being honest here.... aside from valve games the FPS population on PC doesn't exactly keep pace with consoles anymore. Compare nearly any multi-platform FPS that is properly supported on both versions and the console population typically exceeds PC population, with the one major exception being counter-strike.

Can confirm I would be playing DUST 514 right now if it was ported. Come on CCP. Make it happen already.

That was part of what saddened me about Star Wars Battlefront not being like the first two. I've heard the gameplay is fun, but for me it completely lacks the sense of scale the first two titles had that made them really enjoyable.

Dust 514 first attracted my attention because it reminded me of the combined-arms FPSes I loved on PC but promised a larger scale than even those could manage. To be honest, I first was intrigued because they said they'd have jets and I wanted a combined-arms game that treated them in a more realistic manner like they do with Dropship handling.

I got a CSM response to my thread asking about whether the current POS bonuses from Dust Districts would transfer to Citadels, and he said that CCP Nullarbor - who set up the bonuses - is working on the Citadels so it's highly likely the bonuses will be redone to work with them.

That's some good news from a Dust-EVE link standpoint. Hopefully the new bonuses are as good as the current ones.

You mean not?

I'd have trouble even paying a person to work a POS out of molden heath with the current bonuses. They are terrible. From what I've heard CCP didn't want to make them any better either, because they were afraid of one power block essentially monopolizing molden heath and taking advantage of it if it was actually something beneficial to the game. A not-so-rare instance of a CCP dev being scared to mess with something. They should learn from Rattati and just hit all the buttons tbh.

If Nullarbor isn't going to give bonuses that are actually worth a damn he should just save his breath and work on something else. Our alliance has the vast majority of districts in MH and we can't find anyone who gives a damn. I'm sure nobody else can either. It's a symbolic link only, not an effective one. And it's bad enough to the point its almost offensive :/

20% reduction to fuel use and 40% reduction to manufacturing time are useless?

Believe it or not, yes.

Time spent babysitting a lowsec pos could be used to do literally anything else and it would achieve better profit. If anyone wanted to do it, people would be doing it.

If nobody is interested in it then why do you have to babysit the POS...?

I don't. Nobody does. That's the entire point. The man of average intelligence has found that simply not having a POS is better than having one, ergo there is nobody to take advantage of said bonus.

POS's are like those stupid tamagachi things all the lonely fat children had at school 18 years ago. If you don't constantly feed it, exercise it, play with it and re-assure it then it will die/and or take a giant dump inside your POS shield. Nobody wants to deal with that. Even attacking the things are a drawn-out nuisance.

Frankly, I'm not sure who's the bigger villain of EVE. The POS or the asteroid. Technically, the asteroid dies faster. Yields profit faster too, probably. That's saying something.

New Eden is a richer, deeper universe if it has more than just spaceships.

New Eden doesn't have enough Dakka.

That's why we need Gallente Assault suits running around with Plasma Rifles shooting stuff at 1000RPM.
Maximum Dakka, maximum freedom. "DakkadakkadakkadakkaFREEDOMdakkadakkadakka" if you will.

CCP Frame already warned us there'd be no mention of Dust at any public events before they post on the forums. They said they don't want to repeat the mistake of FanFest 2014.
