Stuck on "Status: Unknown" when trying to log into TQ

I downloaded the full EVE client this afternoon to get back into the game, but I can't log in - the server status is displaying "Unknown", and when the login loading bar finishes it tells me I'm probably not connected to the internet, or the server is offline (both untrue).

I've tried disabling all firewalls, as well as various other suggestions on support.eveonline.com, but nothing resolves it. I have the latest build (in the top left corner it says "Version: 7.20.329614").

In case this is relevant, I recently installed a new OS on my PC (Windows 7). Never had any problems of this kind when running EVE on Vista.

Any advice/fixes much appreciated.

Bump. Is this the right forum for this kind of problem?

I have this same prob since coming back to school this semester, but I'm pretty sure the ISP is blocking online gaming connections and capping downloads at 1gb at a time..............

Hmm, I managed to fix it by changing the port from 2600 to the other one (as per instructions here) in the Prefs.ini file.

Odd - maybe something in my antivirus or new OS was blocking connections to the default port?
