You can already use keyboard shortcuts to switch tabs and navigate up and down overview.

If someone tells me how I can copy the settings from one account to the other (CANT GET IT TO WORK WITH THE NEW LAUNCHER THING) I will tell you how.

Clarification
All I want to do is copy my keyboard shortcuts over and possible other stuff like window setups etc.

I can't find any information about this but I presume theirs quite a few people with more than one account who don't want to have to change their shortcuts for every account, every time they reinstall or jump on their laptop or whatever.

While I'm here the reason why I changed to beta launcher was because the old launcher lost all my settings.
I've read that you can share settings, and using it it appears you can.
But when I load up a different account on the same settings nothing is transferred at all.

That is more or less complicated since there is no setting for this but bar with me for a minute and let me explain the procedure:

This is for Windows™ Vista - 10, x64 or not is unrelated and doesn't matter for this. You need to go to the following folder on drive C

Exit all clients before doing this!

c:\users\YourUserName\AppData\local\CCP\EVE\x_eve_tranquility where you have to input your Windows username and exchange the X with the drive you put your client on, default is C.

Rightclick the "settings" folder and "copy". With more than one install there should be more than one of those "...\_eve_tranquility" folders. Go into each one and paste.

Start your clients and have all your setting of the main client.

Ok I did what you said and it didn't work

Like I said I tried the new launchers settings copy thingy

No dice

I did get it to work though!

I made sure one of my setting folders had the correct settings
I made a new settings folder
I also have another settings folder for my other account

Now how I got it all to mesh was by renaming the files I wanted
to the names of the files for the other account

Was pretty simple to work out because the files with the settings I wanted were much larger than the stock rubbish settings.


Now to answer the other guys question
Go shortcuts -> general (tab) -> find 'next tab' and 'previous tab' change those to left and right directional keys
Make sure you have set overview focus (defaults alt + space but that's kind of rubbish)

Now all you have to do is hit your overview focus tab and you can navigate your overview with the up down left right keys.
PROTIP: make sure your windows keyboard options have delay and repeat on 1 (I think they default half way along.

Side note: my last 5 days of playing eve has consisted of me battling the UI, giving up at some point, logging off.
Extra side note: I just realised I only ever post on these forums when I'm logging in check my account because I'm thinking about cancelling it

Last time I checked this was a futuristic sponge bob square pants simulator, how on earth is not having a dscan shortcut somehow a solution to anything
I has idea, when I was playing that underwater vessel simulator set in a previous era circa ww2, I'm pretty sure sonar didn't work like the telegraph thing in that Titanic movie tappity tap tap tap, how about taking the half baked probe scanner upgrade (not having to manually place probes in space, not sure if it involved ejecting from cargo at each location it was before my time), and letting people setup a semi-automated/automated dscan thingy that's kinda high tech, god even if it auto refreshed once a minute I would be happy, god knows how many times I've had to ask the fleet to dscan something while my dscan has the circle of death
