Hey CCP!

Can we have a "Share Screenshot"-button?

Don't think it'll need much more explanation than the idea, but for those who doesn't know why, it's a very handy tool:

* Explaining nabs something can be done with this feature ( a simple drawing system might be implemented if deemed needed)

* bragging will be made so much easier

* Fleet composition of enemy fleets from scouts can be quickly surveyed

* FC's can diagnose from given info based on the view of scouts

And so on and so forth

Train your scouts better. Maybe trust them and not need a screeny.

Scouts have value, don't pee down their air hose.

I recommended a tool that does exactly what you want, but failed to explain why I think people should just use that instead of CCP making an ingame tool.

A tool like Gyazo is better than anything CCP could do because:
1. They are dedicated to doing ONLY screen capture so they do it very well.
2. It can capture things in any window, not just the EVE client.

-1 because CCP doesn't need to waste time creating a feature that already has tons of free tools that accomplish the same thing better

Also, -1 because they would also need to maintain it after adding it, which may also cost additional dev-time, while using existing OOG tools is absolutely free.

Agree all the answers : other tools do that well.


should they implement a gyazo like function and should this start to kill band with on client this would only cause more problem
also IGB is out of the picture, so a weblink in game will be moot before the feature is implemented



edit, I do remember a wow addon that was 3D "aware" and tentatively tried to do what you initially explained, never worked
simply sharing a screnshot with instruction I can only tell you : use this, you'll like it

this is a opensource screenshoter like gyoza but no ads and don't need login/password to upload (will use imgur by default) but is funny because it include a paintbrush like function with upload when finished and then gives you a link you can share

the "drawing board" function, you get that in skype I think, so screenshot to clipboards, paste in drawing board, the play
