Best ship for blood raider event?

I've never done the blood raider event, can anyone recommend a class of ship? I'd hate to get in there only to find out I'm under or over gunned.

A cruiser is fine, but in a busy system be prepared to have lots of company.

Typically a cruiser works just fine, though there are pirate frigates/assault frigates and T3 destroyers capable of running them as well. Just remember that you'll be facing fierce competition so you want to choose a ship that can reliably compete.

You don't run these sites, you steal from the other people that are running them.

I ran them in a Gila - medium drones and RLML's munch through the frigates and dropped the BC and cruisers in seconds. You'll get webbed on arrival by at least 4 frigs and need to motor 10k to the gate, the drop comes from the sole BC in the second pocket, so you want to have a AB and gun straight in for it as soon as you are through the gate, go for the BC first and make sure you are in looting range otherwise someone could ninja it.

The gate is locked until you drop all the frigs so make sure you are sat next to the gate before you kill the last frig spawn and unlock the gate.then burn straight at the BC and ignore the cruisers.

Damage isn't that bad, third run i forgot to activate my hardeners (derp) with buffer shields i took maybe 6000 hp from total aggro.

Don't do it in anything slow - once you've unlocked the gate you need to be on top of the BC before someone else arrived.

Structures dont drop anything, only drop was from the BC.

I hope so, I'll be doing it in a pvp fit! Or is this different in that whoever loots first simply loots first? There's nothing more satisfying in this world than punishing the unjust trash of the world. Heh, what a world we live in. And yes I know it's just a video game, but many thesis could be written on the habitual desires of humanity when punishment isn't always a course of direct action against it.

It seems pretty much any ship - from a pve perspective they are very underwhelming - but from a pvp standpoint, they have been a lot of fun.

Just to be more specific, I have seen folk run them in cruisers, bc, once a bs (I dont know if it could jump the acceleration gate as we killed it fighting the mobs before you jump the gate), numerous folk seem to run them in t3 desy. For me, when I have run them for the pve content my strat has been way over kill.

I don't play, I just fourm warrior.

Hmm, i'd go for something with smartbombs to blast thru the 3 waves of frigs in room 1, then in 2nd room missiles/guns/drones to kill the BC and MWD to get the loot quickly. Ignoring the other cruisers.

It'll take you 5 mins that way, it's the frigs that are annoying, other then that it's not a challenging encounter. For pvp, you need to know noone is there before you go in, then as soon as you do need to simply gtfo quickly

Wait a second... can you PvP in these sites past the gate in high sec? Or are you just saying be careful of a suicide gank?

These sites turn up in low sec and wormhole space as well.

Any ship you can stack alot of thermal/em resistance and focus a good amount of DPS at 5.5-7km with high tracking.

Hopefully one that costs 30mil or less to fit.

I liked the confessor. plenty of dps for the sites, most of the frig npcs die in a volley, and blazes the BC down before the cruisers even get a lock. MF ammo, beams, dual locus and sharpshooter gives an optimal of 19km which pretty much perfectly matches the spawns.

If site racing anything with drones is bad as you have to recall drones after last target dies meaning the other person can get in the last room and kill the bc before you even click warp. Also anything big is a bad choice as the warp speeds are just too slow.
