I've managed to solo 2 gauntlets; the first on day 1, and then today. Got an accelerator on the first day, none in today's site. BC was in the first wave of cruisers, I shot that first , then the 2nd wave - no accelerator. Guess it has a chance of dropping, not guaranteed ;)

BR skin appeared in cargo. I think that mechanic is a nice consolation prize for a player who does most of the work, only to have the accelerator snatched out from under them.

Got s site it last night before I logged. Warped in to 5 frigs, cleared them then cruisers and 1 bc warped in and I dispatched them. Only one wreck was lootable which had an BR cerebral accelerator in it. Took gate to next room and there were a handful of cruisers with some destroyable large collidable objects that produced no loot whatsoever after I destroyed npcs and objects alike. After docking in station I noticed a abaddon BR SKIN in my cargo, not sure when it was placed there but it wasn't there before I started the gauntlet.

It would make more sense (unless I'm missing something altogether) for the loot to be presented at the end of the guantleet or what's the purpose of even going into the second area. It was fun although way to easy, I see the excitement quickly wearing thin. Having them be the difficulty of the system they're in would help with that ie; harder sites would be in low-sec and null while easier sites are located in high-sec.

I don't think there is a second wave of cruisers is there? Either way I don't bother killing them. I just kill the BC, grab the loot and warp out... Found about 6 accelerators so far in wormhole space and have collected 10 skins, which I believe is given to the person that gets the final blow on the BC.

@ CCP are we supposed to take your lack of further comments as confirmation that the training time is being calculated correctly?

still wondering if 1 skin only for 100$ is intended ...

From my point of view, its pretty much the same. I dont think i will have time to play in the next days to participate in the event, so i have to buy the cerebral booster with ISK. Big boost to skill training time or unallocated skill points - in the end its the same for me.

Disappointing way to roll out the gauntlets, a security mission would have meant everyone could experience it if they chose, with the beacons approach, its already turned into a small number of farmers jumping on any that spawn.

Spent an hour just trying to find one, went through 5 constellations, apprx 30 jumps and haven't found a single site, moreover i know people have multiple alts sitting throughout different systems, HS, LS and Null waiting, farming( i know that for sure cuz i have people in corp farming those in Null). So what about those who don't have multiple accounts and a lifetime to spend looking for a site trying to compete with damn farmers? Exccitement level dropped down real fast, was hoping to get online after being away from eve for some time to find out this event is not for everyone=( Don't mean to complain but im a bit upset

They are easy to find if you know where to look. Try leaving HS once in a while Roll

edit: Actually I just logged on to check and there is one in my home system Lol

i live in Null :) they key part - know where to look, why don't ccp specify where to look and save people some time? i have beacons checked on my OV, bad luck? As i mentioned earlier - some people don't have all day, i spent ab half hour looking for one using ceptors in null and HS with two different chars simultasneously - not a single site.

Competition must be high in your corner of the galaxy or I must just be really lucky I guess. CCP not releasing information and letting the workings of new game content be slightly mysterious, is a good thing IMO.

Instead of using a cepter, fit up a ship that can run the site and can probe a wormhole down. I guarantee you will find them in wormhole space.

Quoted for truth. One of my corpmates found a WH in our home system this morning - there were 14 Blood Raider Gauntlet sites inside it.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

Everyone can experience it, you just have to get out and look for them. I've run 80 so far. Competition can be fierce, but that is a good thing. I got tired of competing with my alliance mates for them yesterday, so I went into hostile space and started running them. Much more fun that way.

You are applying the term "farming" to it, but what you are really encountering are other players who are more dedicated than you are. If it was some mission, then it could actually be farmed. As it is, these little beacons are great for encouraging player interaction. If you see someone "farming" these sites, you should go shoot them in the face. But that would require acceptance of some risk and effort.

The only thing CCP should change is that the BC should spawn in the last cruiser wave, not the first.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

While I have enjoyed the new content, it is pretty much just "grinding for SP."

would you even be able to run it in a ceptor?

I doubt it, maybe a fac frigate, but that'd be very inefficient. I use fac cruiser

P.S. I've had luck finding a whole bunch after DT today, i guess it was just bad luck for me before, whole region was wiped clean.
Im happy i found several in the past hour so im happy now :)

I have not tried an Interceptor, but I think it could do it if the pilot kept at long range. A Crow could probably manage it okay if the pilot warped in at range to the first beacon and then burned off very fast in the second room.

I roamed around a bit yesterday, found 6 sites ( just casually looking around ), out of those I got a total of 8 boosters. I'm not running them to make isk or farm them, I just don't want to pay for them :P

I started running them in an RLM Caracal which did them with ease ( PvP Buffer fit ) esp when you warp at range and catch them MWDing towards you, but later found a PvP fit Retribution runs them faster ( reload time on RLM vs no reload for lasers ). I thought about trying it in a Light missile cepter ( keep range to avoid webs ) but decided the anemic DPS would have made it painfully slow. Also tried a Vengeance, but found that you had to use faction rockets just to cut them down at almost the same speed as Scorch or Conflag. I imagine a Confessor would be around the sweet spot for running these and mobility ( as well as probe launcher for wormholing ).

The Confessor is drop dead sexy for them. I run with my normal PVP fit, able to tank it just fine without using my second armor repair or my cap booster. I've never burned out a set of Imperial Navy Multifrequency S before, but I did yesterday.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.
