More Broadcast Options

A variety of simple messages can be communicated in broadcast form:

  • Shoot this target
  • Warp to this
  • I need reps!
  • etc...

However the list of things you *can* broadcast is several items short of the list of things people often *want* to broadcast.


Example #1

  • How many times have you seen "www" in fleet chat meaning "warp to me"?
  • This is such a common occurrence we should surely have a dedicated "Warp to me" broadcast

Example #2

  • Borrowed from this thread
  • "Assist this target"
  • For screaming "REP THE BHAAL!" when your bhaal pilot gets primed and promptly DCs in the middle of a fight

Example #3

  • "I'm being yellow boxed"
  • To let logis know that you don't need reps yet, but will do very soon

Example #4

  • "All clear" / no longer taking damage
  • For when you stop needing reps
  • By convention the incursion community uses "in position" to fill this role, but it would be nice to have the real thing!


There are almost certainly others that I haven't mentioned here. Help me out and reply with the broadcasts you'd like to see added to the game

While i agree more broadcasts could be useful, i think it is not necessary. Also, the thing with the few broadcast is that all the icons currently fit on the bottom bar of the fleet window, which would most likely not be the case should that number rise.

As far as i'm concerned, i don't really care. My corporation, as a school corp, tends to fly lots of different doctrines, which all have different broadcast conventions. That may be stupid, but that at least force the newbros to learn the FC explanations if they don't want to die as noobs.
