I've been doing L4 missions for Tribal Liberation Force as part of the Minmatar Militia and have made 1 million LP.


According to https://www.fuzzwork.co.uk/lpstore/listcorpbuy.php Navy Cap Booster 400s (NCB400) are worth 956.1494 ISK/LP at the time of posting.
It was 1000 ISK/LP yesterday, but given that the 5% buy volume is 7840 it doesn't seem subject to a ton of manipulation.


Say we aim to make 1,000,000,000 (1Bil) ISK by selling NCB 400s using Tribal Liberation Force LP?


104,002 ISK is the current buy price for NCB 400s at Jita
It's a large enough buy order to cover selling all the NCB 400s we need to make a bil in a go.
Obviously this isn't very efficient but I'm trying to get a handle on how much ISK this can make so bear with me.

We need to sell: 1,000,000,000 / 104,002 = 9616 Navy Cap Boosters to gross a Billion ISK.


To make 9616 NCB 400s
Each BP makes 20 and needs 20 std cap boosters:
9616 / 20 BPs = 480.8 = 481 LP store BPs

1 BP costs 1000 LP + 1,000,000 ISK
481 BPs = 481 mil ISK just for the LP store BPs! <--- This makes up the chunk of our investment.

1 std cap booster selling price (Jita) = 6000
Total std cap boosters required to make 9616 Navy cap boosters = 480.8 * 20 = 9616


9616 cap boosters = 6000 * 9616 = 57,696,000 (58 mil)


Total cost =

481 mil LP from Tribal Liberation Force
481 LP NCB 400 BPs = 481 mil to TLF FW store
9616 std cap boosters from Jita = 58 mil

Selling price Jita for 9616 NCB 400 = 104,002 x 9616 = 1,000,083,232
Net profit = 1,000,083,232 - (58mil + 481 mil)

Which turns out to be 1Bil - 539 mil = 461mil


Our total profit on converting 481 NCB 400 BPs to NCB 400s to ISK totals 461 million


This does not take any market sales/trade tax into consideration yet.
Not to mention cost of Red Frog shipping standard cap boosters from Jita and the NCB back to Jita from wherever your LP store is.
Or bombers lost to rats or the occasional neut.
Obviously there's room for improvement if we achieve better margins on our buy/sell prices.


It appears we have to invest 500 mil ISK + 500k LP to net a profit of 500 mil? Please correct me if I am wrong.

So to net a profit of ~1 bil ISK we'd have to:

Invest 1 Bil ISK towards LP store NCB 400 blueprints (around 960-1000 BPs)
Invest 120 mil ISK for std cap boosters in exchange (around 19000 )
Pay 1 mil LP to the store (1000 LP/BP for 1000 BPs)
