No you can't have my stuff you wouldn't want it anyway seeing as how I didn't make it past the trial. I'm tired of getting gang raped while trying to rat in low sec. I've really tried to like this game but it's just not an enjoyable experience. I don't want to be forced to stay with other players at all times and not be able to solo when I feel like it. I just don't get what's fun about four to six dudes fuckin' killing a virtually defense solo player over and over. I hope those type of players don't call themselves PvP'ers. Guess that's how it goes in this game. Peace.

Yes, that is how Eve has been designed.

Sounds like Eve is not for you. I'm glad you figured that out in the trial rather than after you had spent significant time and money on the game.

You can play solo just fine, even in low sec, as long as you put in active effort to avoid trouble. It really isn't difficult to learn or get used to but you DO have to (want to) acknowledge that there's other players in this sandbox who might be out there to try and fck you over. If you were looking for a "leave me alone, I want to do what I want" sort of game then yeah, that isn't EVE.

perhaps if you joined a corp who does that sort of thing you would have had friends to help , also when new players play the game first thing you normally do is the career missions but they are all about pve most of what you do is pve . so I think the game needs pvp missions to do from the start this I think will help , will need a lot of thought but do think pvp missions are needed that would help

Doing stuff that's over your head while barely a month old is a guarantee of having bad things happen to you. I presume you're used to another MMO that shall go nameless that has softened the gaming experience so much that you believe you're entitled to all rewards immediately without needing to set goals and work towards them -- you know, like all games in history?

if you still want to go there (because you want to harvest the ripe fruits) prepare yourself properly ("flee you fools!")

its not a bad idea to fly to lowsec alone, dont be put off by this guy, learn a little about flying in lowsec instead of yolo'ing through the gate in your new pve boat thinking you will be welcomed with open arms.

newbros who want to fly to lowsec, ask in the forums and people will help and give info on what you should be doing to make it a successful trip Pirate

I'm still very new and have to disagree with your first point. I'm flying in lowsec, mainly alone, as part of faction warfare. It's enormous fun. I get killed, but then I expect to get killed.

So the second statement holds water, if you prepare to get killed and learn every trick you can to avoid that fate for as long as possible.

It's good fun, and worth doing early so one doesn't get spooked by the idea of losing pixels. Having said that, even though the pixels are effectively meaningless, the adrenaline rush from being in dangerous space is very real. Not sure how I square those feelings, but it's oddly true.

To new players reading this ...

The most important thing in EvE, never perceive yourself as prey ... it's a mental thing. If you get killed, it's bad luck, you lacking knowledge, you don't paying attention or you having actually a good fight. Learn from it, get better, have fun. I'm far from optimal skilled, but I'm solo venturing low, null, WH without dying every session - but when (not if) I die, it's one of the reasons above.

Faction Warfare I believe has missions and while you can do them from the start if you have a full account. I don't think that they can be done on a trial however. But that would be PvP missions that you could do from the start, assuming that you put time on the account from the start.

As a new player myself I can kind of understand the OP's frustrations but I think rat hunting in lowsec isn't the best of places for new players to be. Plenty of rats spawn in highsec belts, which is good experience for newer players as it's much less likely that players will waste their effort on newbies and put their ships on the line. Not everyone on eve is an ass though and there are plenty of people willing to help out newbies as well as corps who will provide you with skill books, ships and tools to help you process depending on your preferred path.

A pity you left out of sheer frustration though.
