Is it not time for a massive intergalactic war to kick off???

In all fairness, the time for weak fights is over. Who got the biggest coconuts to kick off something which will shake the foundations of the game?

All vs. Ascension (ASCN died, did not care)
BoB/MC vs. Morsus Mihi/Razor/D2 (I was there, killed stuff, and a lot of it!!!)
All vs BoB (I was there, lost everything, sold character, started mining)
All vs -A- (was not there, did not care)
Goons vs Providence (wtf...lol...was ratting at the time)

All vs Goons or all vs NC., what will it be? Maybe its time for the Soviets to mob up and take over the north?

Srsly, someone stir up some **** and I'm in... Simply no interest in local fights over an asteroid belt or office.

And I think I aint an isolated case.

I've been watching a huge battle between two rival factions that is spanning the entire EVE Universe. Full of both strategy and emotional fire, this battle has been raging and doesn't seem to be ending anytime soon.

Oh wait, that's the conflict about the character bazaar proposed changes.....never mind then.

.

To buck the popular trend, I began to Rage Start instead of Rage Quit.

...and every time I get another piece of Carbon, I know exactly what CCP is getting this Christmas.

Where did you see that?

The more I read the forums over the years, the more I swear. To god. That the typos are intentional mistakes. Part o f the encryption.

Actually we do care.. The problem is projection is so damned short now its hard to get a major war without weeks of investment and hundreds of manhours.

What's your point?

It's not like any of you have a life outside of EVE. Weeks of investment and hundreds of man hours is nothing to a bunch of no-lifes that live in virtual space more than real life.

You're just lazy. At least admit that much.

Oh that's odd because we were able to deploy to Curse in a single day.

I died a bunch to people in shiny stuff, and left broke. It's not always as easy as it's made out to be.

Oh, I perfectly understand, Hal Morsh — a mission like this requires courage, skill, and heroism… qualities you are clearly lacking. Have you forgotten you're one of the bloody immortals!?

Aside from the boring behemoth the state of sov null is actually pretty interesting at the moment: http://rischwa.net/coalitions/

Go and create some content instead of whining from the sidelines.

Be brave! Why not infiltrate one of the alliances you mentioned, become a diplomat and kick off a shitstorm of epic proportions?

I will get back to large alliance warfare when the mechanics benefit squad on squad vs press F1. Then we will see real fights again. Fights will happen, but gotta fix some things first. The buddy and blobs are not pvp nor combat enticing. Lets give peeps something to fight for. How though? What can bring resource competition without a higfest?

To quote Lfod Shi

The ratting itself is PvE. Getting away with it is PvP.

Deploying a few JFs worth of cruisers, BCs, and ceptors does not a war deployment of capitals make. :P And frankly.. no.. Move ops that only take ONE DAY to move.. take a WEEK of planning unless you just want to toss out JFs and hope for the best.

Admittedly snapshot deployments can be fun as hell... but also expensive.

Honestly there are plenty of fights out there... not so many wars. Don't worry eventually someone will get bored enough to **** in someone elses cornflakes and spaceship explosions will happen in a big orgy of death. Its one of the many immutable laws of eve. That and "yep.. Titan just jumped. Let's go save his stupid ass".

The Citadels are essentially built around creating conflicts that can draw Dreadnoughts and Titans out. Just look at the XL citadel. It's so big that its diameter is on par with the Death Star (it even has a Doomsday mounted on it).

The thing about wars, however, is that they are not spontaneous affairs. Even if the biggest battles in EVE happened because of rather small circumstances (unpaid bills, misclicks on the jump), one Alliance would most likely have to be actively building up towards a sustainable war economy before launching one.

Me, I'm just trying to reach a point where I can play the game through buying PLEX (though I foresee that future as a long-way off, if not but a Midsummer Night's Dream).

Actually it does. Maybe on your personal scale you think anything short of millions of ships moved for a war is nothing, but your 'snapshot' deployment is still in fact a deployment. Stop downplaying it. You deployed in one day. There is no arguing this.
