Tengu can clear all gas sites except for instumental and vital which are found in C5s and C6s. Your friend only saw half the rat spawn. Keep an eye on scan if you clear the gas sites and loot the wrecks.

Pro-tip: go to a C5 Black Hole and you can flip Instrumental and Vital gas rats with a HML Cerberus.

Just use a Gila, or a Drake if your in a c1/c2 with low skills. The Gila is the most efficient by far, as it's cheap, and does the same, or better DPS.

to get information on how much tank you should have and swap the lows out for beta reactors on high dps waves. Burn into your spot and drop a depot/MTU refit your tank based off of what’s on site at the moment. Keep a warp disruptor, 3-4 warp core stabs, cap rechargers, probes, a small remote armor repper and 2 shield power relays, in the cargo.

The only thing a Tengu does better then the previous two is sig-tank with the afterburner. Yada-yada-yada with equipment and shield skills you can run some c4 combat anoms. There is the obvious caveat of wormhole effect, a Tengu will perform better in a black hole, for example. This fit is also 50-100% more expensive then the previous two, and is often times less effective. OFC in a few months when the Gila looses a low this will change up a bit, in that the Gila will ONLY do as much dps as a HAM Tengu, rather then more...

Heavy assault missiles "can" be better then heavy missile launchers, but you need to know the site well enough that you don't waste time burning into range. So it's really an experience thing.
