If i buy one of those permit things for hauling stuff places what sort of guarantee do i have? can i do afk things?

Every permit is backed up by the honesty and integrity of each and every agent. No, having a permit does not entitle you to break the just and fair laws contained within the code, just as having a drivers license doesn't mean you can go whatever speed you want on the road.

but i can go to a racetrack and go as fast as i want so do we have somewhere where we can afk in peace?

There's some good mining to be had in HED-GP. It's outside of high sec and generally quiet. If you like racing your hauler around, it could be just the place for you.

well i figured if they do mining permits then they might do afk permits, maybe they should do this as an option for a bit more isk

Official CODE AFK Permits can be found in Rancer , HED-GP and EC-P8R.

They are good for any low-sec or null-sec system in the game.

They are void in wormhole systems, so be warned.

Everything in EVE is a trap.

And if it isn't, it's your job to make it a trap...:)

You have in your hands the famous mafia brotherhood system which most people in the real World know to be the oldest trick in town.

CODE may even grant you what the permit says you are granted, but they have a "compadre" wars with someone who will kill you for having that permit and Code wont protect you from that, because they have no formal wars with code granting them the right to preemptivelly kill them in hisec. Some Code people alts that I know they are just keep NPC corp alts to kill people in the name of a cause to make people fear to have a permit.

Short answer is: Whatever you have, whatever you pay, whatever you do, if someone wants you dead for some reason and they have the numbers to do that, you are dead.

CODE and other so called "content creators" are fun and interesting, but everything boils down to the "gag EULA" that grants CCP wont take action for either side, which means, they are not responsible for whatever ill conceived idea you a victm of.

CODE or not, Permit or not, there always will be someone at some gate trying to make a living by killing people hauling stuff, and pretty words in your bio means little to nothing regarding the safety of hisec.

If con is the opposite of pro, then is Congress the opposite of progress?

I got a better idea since Eve is real etc. Why so little bureaucracy?! Why not sell a permit that allows you to buy a CODE permit? Or better, invent some classes resulting in diplomas that allow you to buy the Permit that allows you to buy the CODE permit.
