Courtesy of an ESS, I've managed to accumulate some 200,000 Federation Navy Loyalty Points, split over two pilots.

Now, I was looking around at what to spend such largesse on and I discovered that the LP market was/is the subject of some rather rampant market manipulation recently.

Some of the online tools available that supposedly tell you the ISK/LP ratio seem to be based on hopelessly outdated and rather drastically inflated pricing (due to the aforementioned market manipulation).

For example, there is zero point in using LP to buy a Fed Navy Web. The cost of the required tags is around the same as what you could sell said module for.

I'm beginning to think the best option for me is to sit on them and redeem them for faction ammunition as required, or to acquire some of the nicer Rogue and Noble series implants for personal use.

Any ideas? Or any ISK:LP sites I may have overlooked that use current market data?

Any chance of CCP giving us Pirate Faction ESS so I can accumulate LP I'd actually want to use?

you are right, the 1% implants have been going crazy in price recently. 99.9% of that is likely manipulation. Looks like a number of other super low volume modules as well. to filter that out, to some extent at least, you can try using the buy orders option as a price floor is more accurate, however you can still use sell orders to get a slightly better return.

In general navy LP trades for low values because it competes with FW, plus ESS lp. In addition FW has some unique items only offered in the FW store, and some special rates on ships, giving it massive advantages compared to the navy store. Also on many items you are losing out to 5 run bpcs that are offered from other corps in faction. the fed navy web is a great example of that. Pay a little more and get a 5 run bpc, that can get 1000-2000 isk/lp, vs paying for an individual item and not even breaking even.

can you trade Navy LP for XYZ Corp That Sells Said Five Run Faction Web BPCs LP?
