Issues, Workarounds & Localization

Hi all trying to get eve running on another pc but getting some issues when it comes to launching the game
Launcher is showing DX9 only but computer is win7 and on dx11

the message I get from the exefile in the bin folder is

exefile.exe - Bad Image

Windows\system32\d3dx9_42.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contract your system administrator. once pressed ok it runs the DirectXRedist.exe which brings up a command prompt window with no text showing, when it disappears the same error reappears twice and then stops after ok is pressed


Tried dskchk and sfc /scannow
installing all the extras for DX
copying the file above from a system with eve working
removing the dx files from system files still results in the same error

any ideas on where to go now



Soloution was to replce the syswow64 folders dx file
