Why can't I insert a skillbook in my skill queue?

So, here I am sitting at my desk, about to leave for work and I'm 1h 35m away from finishing a prerequisite to another skill that I have as a skillbook in my item hangar.

Because if you could inject a skill that you don't yet have the prereqs to use, you could use unallocated skill points to skip levels of a prereq skill.

Need stuff moved? Push Industries will handle it. Serving highsec, lowsec and nullsec - and we do it faster and more reliably than anyone else. Ingame channel: PUSHX

I think you guys are missing the point here.

You don't automatically inject it once you place the skillbook into your queue. It automatically injects it when the prereq skill in your queue finishes, so by the time of skillbook injection you do have the prereq.

It'd be nice to schedule injecting skillbooks through the skill queue, just sayin'.

This is why you need a 'dump skill'. Also very useful for patch/expansion releases in case the server is down a day or three. I use gallente drone spec V.

But I'm on a tight schedule for a fleet op, I don't have time to dump into a "dump skill".

You were "about to leave for work" over an hour ago? Surely you can wait 10 more minutes and inject the second skill yourself.

I've been at work for an hour now Cool

I think we're getting off the rails here a bit, do people just not think it's convenient to schedule a skillbook to inject through the skill queue?

I thought it'd be a nice improvement to the queue to make our space lives just a little bit easier...

Yes it would be nice.

Can't believe all the nonsense people are talking.

I totally get the problem and Yes - absolutely. It would be really useful - I can't see that it gives any unfair advantage. The queue lets you be efficient in your training of other skills. So just one of those small things that would make it a little nicer to use

counter-proposal --> remove the queue altogether.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

I think we can agree that peace on earth and this feature request have vastly different levels of difficulty.

I predict we'll get another thread in this regard in the near future and that will also contain the incorrect spelling of the word queue. There will also be someone like myself, pointing out the error. P

I think it's stupid to have it the way that it currently is as well. However, count your blessings that the queue even exists. As I'm sure everyone is aware, it didn't always.

Yep, waiting for "Skill training completed" was annoying as hell.

F**k that... It would be fine if all I had left to train ever were level 4 and 5 skills. But when you get to some area with a ton of new skills I would not want to be online for hours on end just to never miss the end of training a skill to start a new one.
