So, before i start i am fully aware of the reaction towards ccp when they tryed to introduce using Real money to buy skillpoints.
I will also say at this point that i am a 11 year player of eve online and this is not a "newbie wants to catch up" thread.
ALSO before anyone makes the case of "using isk to buy skillpoints is stupid" go say that on the character bazarr :D as i can go and buy myself a 150m sp toon right now.

So its a simple idea, a mod that drops from pirate faction drops? missions rewards? (insert route to get it here) that when consumed/used it decreases your skill training time by say 300% for a week/2 weeks/ month.

This item can be sold on the market for iskies or consumed by the person it dropped for.

Do you think something like this could work in eve online? add your own ideas on this also.

First of all, you probably should have posted this in the F&I forum and not GD.

Second, personally I still think this is a bit too close to the line of Pay2Win. Since you can just buy plex to keep these going (I assume they will act like normal assets and can be freely sold on the market).

On the other hand, SP is really not that important in terms of determining the strength of a character. Yes, you eventually can fly more ships, but there exists an upper limit to every ship, in terms of SP. With this in mind, it might not be as Pay2Win, as it might first seem.

I don't believe it's the change EvE needs though.

There is a huge difference.

Buy cerebral accelerators off contracts.

Nothing like this should be farmable.

EVE aleady has enough "pay2win" features. This would just make things even worse.

I wanna join up. I think I got what it takes to be a Citizen.

Please review the Features & Ideas board for many similar ideas to cut skill training time down via x, y, z method.
