Eve of the Hallowing

Thousands of years ago, on Athra, the fall season was the time of holy days, feast days, festivals and sacrifice. They were based around the harvests: wheat, fruits and vegetables and then finally, the culling of the herds. Prayers and offerings were made to God for a short winter and a gentle winter at each of these feasts, yet one is remembered above all the others.

The Eve of the Hallowing is the final holy day of the harvest festivals. It always happened a month after the autumnal equinox. The priestess would lay the sacrifice upon the altar and cut its throat to let the blood spill. Each of the people of the town would then dip their fingers into the blood to mark their foreheads as a servant of God. The sacrifice varied from a lamb, to a calf, to a young maiden depending on the signs and portents. The priestess or oracles would make the determination of what would best appease God.

As our understanding of God expands and evolves in the years since, so have our rituals. Many sects of Sani faith have kept the Eve of the Hallowing tradition, including mine, the Ordo Sani Calix. Normally, this ritual is done in private, as most are. However, for this one time, I have been granted dispensation to perform the Eve of the Hallowing service in the open, for any capsuleer that so wishes to attend. This year it will happen on the 23rd at 2100 New Eden Standard time.

To answer some questions that I know will be coming.
The blood will be from a young maiden. We will only take some. She shall not be killed as a part of the service.
The current form of the ritual involves collecting the blood in a chalice and then a sip is taken by each of the congregation. Those wishing to be anointed instead of imbibing will be accommodated.
The location will be withheld from the public. The event will be invitation only. Contact me privately for such an invitation.

Glory to the Red God and to those with the strength to be His Chosen.

It may well be bold of you to advertise your event in public view. But, I find it curious that a person of religious conviction.. though, no doubt, Heretical.. has to hide the details of the location. It is as if you are aware of your own contravention of the Amarr Faith.

You have boldly called for the blood of Amarr before, but you choose to hide your Faith, obscure it in the shadow. Why? Are you self-aware of your Heresy?
