The authentication token provided by the launcher is of an invalid format. Please try again or contact EVE customer support.

I guess I'm going to go with the settings issue too when dealing with multiple client instances.
is there a way to copy the settings folder from my current installation over to somewhere in the new launcher so I don't have to reset every client and alt's screen position, chat windows, colors, ect ect.

Thanks

ok I thought this new launcher was meant to help correct disconnection problems..... guess not as I still have them quite often.... I run 6 accounts in windows7 all in window mode in interval immediate with optimized setting on memory.

I like to run missions and such while in fleet.... and since I keep getting constant disconnects I find it not so enjoyable to play with the sense of a disconnect coming at the time when I have room aggro and possibilities of losing ships from fleet and then having to re fleet and fight rats..... almost feel like finding another game to spend my 90.00 a month subscription fees.

I sure hope this problem is fixed... as I never used to have any problems with the same setup but at higher detail settings, sucks playing at low res cause of socket disconnections and signal lost problems.

great idea ccp...... +1 for the effort to fix this problem

No more separate installs to run against Sisi or Duality Cool

Eve online is :

A) mining simulator B) glorified chatroom C) spreadsheets online

D) CCP Games Pay to Win at skill leveling, with instant gratification

This launcher doesn't have anything to do with disconnection issues. It fires up the client, and keeps it up to date. Once the client is running, it's on it's own.

Interval immediate: This is vsync off. Which means your client is set to generate all the frames is can, rather than trying to keep to around what your monitor can handle (there are reasons to make more, mostly to prevent screen tearing. Not really an issue in Eve). This has nothing to do with connections. It will, however, stress your computer more. (unless you're running into resource issues, and your PC is locking up. Or overheating.)

Resolution will have nothing to do with connection issues.

There's a strong possibility it's an issue with your ISP. Which can be, unfortunately, difficult to get fixed, as they'll claim everything is fine, even if they're throwing away half your packets.

this taken from original launcher news ...

This should result in fewer cases of failed patching. We no longer rely on HTTP 1.1 and ranged gets - files are simply downloaded as a whole. We are also planning on doing more diagnostics in the launcher to help identify connection issues.

from http://community.eveonline.com/news/dev-blogs/testing-a-new-eve-launcher/

so I thought it said connection problems would be looked into. hmmmmmm

also with all the stuff I added to my first post... sorry I tend to rant with all sorts of un needed information... for example I am dying of copd and am 60 years old and play eve so my mind has something to keep me occupied until I pass away in an hour or longer, if they come up with something for the poor I may last for many years but I won't be around in a say 5 years for sure :) ... I just wanted to give best description of my system and all and speaking of that...grin
I also use 4 27" monitors 3 on their sides so 2 accounts are in full window on each , the 4th is for web browsing and eve-survival lol

so yes eve is my life I just am lousy at it :)

If you pull over the settings as per https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E-3zl3Ly-Vw you should get your drone settings too.

this "connection" issue mentionned is about when old launcher get erronous data from the patch server and wreck your game and it needs reinsall/repair.

asking ccp to fix your game disconnection problem is like asking a tv network why your tv is blurry.
it's in your home or on the way to your ISP, and as much as I know CCP would want to help you, there is nothing to fix on their side.

You clearly have little understanding of how a launcher or client works. All of your issues in your previous posts are down to your local network and ISP. I'd suggest doing traceroute, ping tests and a checking your DNS. All of these are nothing to do with CCP their launcher or client.

your new launcher works great :3 ii love it especially the verifying cache and purging extra files, and finding corrupted files, and launching multiple accounts and using different servers from the same client, XD i have soo many separate installations of eve on my harddrive, and this is gonna take care of that and free up ALOT of space XD

Would be great to not have to add my accounts to SiSi/Duality since the credentials are the same for TQ

Lovin' the new launcher so far!

I'm afraid a new launcher will not be able to correct disconnection problems in the game - the launcher only manages the patching and launching of the game.

That said, I am planning to add diagnostics to help with discovering problems related to patching and connecting to TQ but those features are not in yet. Disconnection problems are usually caused by factors out of our control, though, so the best we can do is help diagnose those issues.

First of all I like the new launcher. Good work CCP so far.

It´s nice that we can know start multiple accounts from the launcher, but why is it still not possible to log out from the game to the character screen to choose another character. I mean it is not something fancy I am asking for, this has every MMO on the market exept EVE Online.
For me it is a real bummer that I always have to quit the game when I want choose another character.

Thanks in advance for the answer.

OK, my fist impressions are:

1) This is sexy!
2) This is slow. 1m 14s 09ms from launch to seeing accounts.
3) Multiple accounts and LAUNCH multiples...WTF...Holy Frack...YES!
4) I'll take the time hit for this amount of wonderful.

My setup:

Win 7 Home Premium 64bit
16GB RAM
OCZ Vector 180 SSD 240GB O\S
OCZ Vertex 3 SSD 60GB dedicated to EVE Clients.
Broadband @ 16.69Mbs

Now to find that post on migrating settings manually. Big smile

Launch times > client login:

1) 1m 14s 09ms
2) 1m 31s 32ms
3) 1m 41s 09ms

The path in this video maybe different to what you have. I found my setting_1 here:

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\e_eve_shared_cache_tq_87.237.38.200\settings_1

Hope that helps others out.

Edit:

Also found this in addition to my CCP\EVE folder which is new so I'm guessing part of the new launcher install:

If you find the web gui is slow, it may be due to your Internet settings. Chrome sometimes suffers from the same thing: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/106010?hl=en-GB

Turning off 'Automatically detect settings' for LAN settings in Internet Properties (Connections) might fix this. Let me know if this helps - I'm hoping to have this addressed before too long in our code but would be great to confirm if this helps.

That was the badger! Instantaneous load up on launch...unbelievably awesome. This is why I like beta things from CCP, try it, love it, support it.

Sorry I posted like a "typical end user" CCP Snorlax, should've browsed the thread more.

Side note: 5th time of trying to post this after turning off the setting above, let's see how it goes.
