wow, my gallente skin has now made it to the forum. Before, it only showed on my profile page while the Crucible skin was on the actual forums.

I would like a ARE YOU AT WORK forum skin please, one that doesn't have pictures at all and looks decidingly boring.

I actually seem to have that one right now. The CSS obviously isn't being loaded and the browser is responding by doing very strange things. Most stuff is centered and causing the content to be two page scrolls down.

It's almost unusable. Careful what you ask for.

…speaking of which, was there any sort of announcement about the changes they've put into the forums? Why not put it in as part of the 1.0.4 patch notes?

They've done more than add a few backgrounds — they've migrated all of the google code to their own servers (so for those of you who are blocking that annoying “functionality” you have to change your blocks). It would be really nice if they actually communicated this. Straight

Don't fall back into your old habits again, CCP, pleeease?

one option if you're using firefox:

add the css rules in for forums.eveonline.com
http://www.fuzzwork.co.uk/forumcss/override.txt

It'll knock out the background image and the avatars. You can add additional rules to knock out further elements if you want to.





Something you might find useful too, is a plugin called Lazerus Form Recovery. records what you put into forms, so if it ganks it, you can hit back and get all the text back with a click click menu option.

This is (another) great reason of why you don't "make your own" when there are tons of finished products out there already.

Hopefully if its not a quick fix they can at least roll back the changes until they fix this.

I bet they don't even realize that there is a problem. Those guys responsible of this are just that good at fixing things and got brilliant record on epic awesomeness which exceeds any industry norms by miles. Keep up the good work - you will not be missed!
