Where is the turrent equivalent of the rapid light and rapid heavy launchers ?

It would be nice to have anti frigate capable medium turrent platforms as well as anti cruiser large turrent battleships.

Just thinking out loud.

Also, when I was first getting into solo pvp, I was told to lean on thermal damage weapons because thermal damage is the hardest to tank. After spending well over a year in fw lowsec, I can tell you definitively your better off loading explosive damage and tanking accordingly.

Thoughts? Any fellow solo artists find they burn through ten times more explosive ammo than any other?

You don't need anti-class-below-you-turrets because you can fit the smallest turrets in your class and get all the benefits of anti-ship-below-you. Missiles couldn't do that, except for TP and such which also helps turrets, I think that's what I remember last time this was brought up.

It's a fair point. Turrets have 2-3 options per weapon size, missiles do not. It's not the same or necessarily on the same level but missiles and turrets aren't and shouldn't BE the same.

Meh. Just thought it would be cool to have shotgun-like turrent for dealing with frigates.. This comming from a frigate junkie mind you.

Dual's 180mm are doing pretty well against frigs with appropriate hull and fitting.
