Can't log in to forums?

Several folk I know (me included) can't log into the forums without being asked again and again to log in....have posted this on a work machine which seems fine but there are definetely some probplems out there.

I was logged out on one request - refreshed the page and I was logged in again.

A bad proxy by the looks.

yes I'm having this problem too, it was really bad last night. eventually it let me back in.

Just a side question, I wonder how many are using chrome? I've noticed my chrome browser acting funky with some non eve sites as well as EveGate. Wonder if this is just me or if it might be a browser issue. I dont have any other browsers installed so I can't make comparisons.

just clear cache files and you will be fine


seems to work for chrome and internet explorer ,but not for mozilla

Clearing the cache worked for me on Firefox.

yes but had to do a second try to log in ,while in chrome and explorer ,after clearing their cache i could log in 1 try

This. Cleared the cache and it worked fine. Don't forget, firefox appears to finish clearing the cache long before it does. When you clear your cache, you need to quit firefox afterward, and wait for the firefox.exe process to finish correctly(don't end task in progman) or you didn't actually clear you cache.

If your like me and haven't cleared your cache in a few months, it can take a while Shocked

It was doing the same for me.

I'd be on the forums, click "Log In" and then it'd take me to the log in page, but it'd already show me logged in at the top of the page. So I'd put in my login info and then it'd go back to the forums with me logged out.

What I found, that worked for me, was clicking Log In and when it took me to the login page and showed me logged in at the top already, I clikced "Switch Character" and played around on those pages for a while and clicked forums again and it worked fine. For now anyway.

I have chrome and IE7 on my laptop and this does it on both browsers

clearing cache in ie9 works.

This is bordering on absurd. The EVEGate web site is repeatedly resetting my user-session when I try to do anything with mail on both a fully patched Windows 7 / IE machine AND a full-patched iPad running Safari.

Do you guys test your assets before deployment? Do you guys do regression testing on changed code? Sweet baby jebus.

Additional details:

1) When I actually get to view a message on the iPad, the Safari client appears to refresh the page which results in the log-in prompt. I have watched this happen multiple times. No tapping or action taken on my end, either. wtf.

2) When I logged into an account via EVEGate on a Win7 + IE machine, the number of eve-mails associated with that character was way off-base with a value of 100+ where the character had under 10 eve-mails unread.

Edit: I logged into another account and saw a value of over 700 eve-mails associated with the account (via the top-positioned mail counter value). Unless these are structure notifications, there is no way the character has that many unread messages.... only 13 or so by my last count.
