Game does not start from Launcher window

Hello

My girlfriend downloaded the file and installed the game to her laptop yesterday.

When she logges in and press play the game change to launching and then nothing happens, after a while the "launching" text changes to "play" again.

What to do!?

Old or new launcher?

if it's new, can't help you (new = the new thingy they just announced this week)
if it's standard launcher, it seems to work correctly by what you describe (its function is to lauch another program, then re-display the play button)

is the game launching correctly when launching the BIN\EXEFILE.EXE program in your game folder?

if not was the game downloaded or just the launcher?

I like to check a box in the settings (top right of he launcher there's a cogwheel)
in download
check 'download all the resource file'
close lauhcner, reopen and it should download all the game (works if you didin't install the full installer )

but I don't think it's your problem, so just try the exefile.exe and tell us what is does

I dident know there where more than one launcher.

I downloaded what they gave me when I registred.

And that was not a big file, but the launcher itself downloaded about 7 or 10 gig

Also I now tried to check the boxes that when you launch the game the launcher auto closes.

So when I press play in launcher the games pops up in processes, but nothing happens.
I then start the launcher again and again press play game, then its start a second ecefile in the preocesses, nut still no game running.


WHAT TO DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????

it's clearly not the launcher. (you see the exefile being launched but nothing is showing if I understand)

there is a "SAFE mode" in the launcher for the game, this will try to launch the game with the minimal setting

maybe the laptop does not have a 3D card, or not the good directx driver, or not up to date


next steps, try to launch the game after each setting below, and kill all the EXEFILE running in the processes if they stay here :

in the launcher options in the GAME settings, try changing directx from 11 to 9 or the other, try to check safe mode at the bottom
in the "ADVANCED" setting, try clearing caches

if all these failed, try the repair button in the advanced settings

if it stills fails, it may be a problem with the laptop drivers, can't help you there, I can tell you to update, try https://www.drivereasy.com/online-scan/ (IE or Edge only, FF with a plugin, never tried on chrome)
I use it personally, but you are on your own on the interwebs


Also, I don't know it this place is the right forum for this kind of problem with the game, there is a support you can contact online in your account page, they are CCP directly!!

there may be a faq and step to resolve somewhere on the forum, I'm improvising a bit but I never saw this problem exactly

Ah and you didn't tell me what happens when you launch the EXEFILE manually !!!

do that before trying what I said before
