The bears will rejoice, till they find out (like they did with low slot son freighters and the mining ship EHP buff) that all that really happened was that the ganking community will be so ticked off at CCP caving in to weak minded players again, that the actual number of ganks go up (probably WAY up) instead of down (affecting everyone, not just the people who complain to CCP).

They never understand how vengeful gankers are (i do, which is why I use existing tools to thwart them rather than beg CCP for help) and are always surprised when this happens. Best thing is that with CCPs tweak to null, i haven't had to be in high sec for a while, and I have a good supply of popcorn to watch the coming drama Twisted

More seriously, I've come to realize something that I actually don't like about CCP. They have in recent years shown this tendency to reward weakness and nerf innovation. The 1st time i experienced this was when I was a member of Gallente FW and some guys hired mercs to tank the faction police in Nourvekaiken while a group of us ransakced the system. It was fun as hell and it lead to a Caldari counter-raid that caused a whole bunch of tears in Villore. In other words it was great and cool and fun.

And CCP nerfed it within a week... It's like them saying "don't come up with interesting ways to do things", like when they nerfed skynet which killed my "rat with a tanked ecm bursting fight assigned hauler and laugh at afk-cloakers/hot droppers" method.\
Oh well, I've compensated (1600 mm plate Rapid light FoF/smartbombing prophecy takes forever for stealth bombers to kill btw Big smile) but it would be nice if CCP stopped nerfing creativity.

This will totally boost new player retention, just like the awox nerf. If CCP knows one thing then that to produce a more interesting game you have to remove possibilities and support the AFK crowd.

In 2008 i managed to nail about 3 shuttles and 4 pods including some doofus with a full slave set afk autopiloting pod through dodixie with a smartythron attack.

Today i didn't even get one smarty lit before i got instablapped.

I support the call for a burn jita attack.

If the future of EVE is f1 afk veldspar tackling then its back to handcuffing nubbins and performing lewd acts on them in DayZ.

The lack of evildoer opportunity in this era is most vexatious to one's sociopath tendencies.

The problem ain't hyperdunkING the problem.is being able to bump. I mean seriously if I rammed my ship into a bigger ship.it would just explode into little pieces.. bumping is the most ridiculous mechanic in eve

rip hyperdunking, you will be missed

ccp literally deleting content from the game by removing easily countered stratagies. there are literally 400 people in the anti-ganking channel that can save you if you just ask

it's so silly that anyone gets hyperdunked, only the silliest and dumbest people get killed by it.

I'm not terribly surprised. While seeing a 30b frighter go down to one dude was funny and all, it is one of those things that is kinda really only doable with the bowhead, maybe to a lesser extend with the orca (I'm not sure off the top of my head how many cattys/bombers you can stick in there)

people in the reddit thread seem fixed on the CCP said it was okay part. where my reading of it is we will tolerate it for now.
