Anything you can do to help us control what is downloaded and when, would be nice.

Knowing up front that there are 5GB of data in 3 separate patches will help those of us connecting over mobile broadband with tight quotas, or those of us with metered ADSL. I get more traffic during off-peak, so it would be nice to be able to schedule the Launcher to launch at 2am, then start downloading. It would also be nice if the launcher could handle quitting in the middle of a download and resuming on relaunch.

Running a high end Alienware gaming rig.

Launcher just kills my video display driver everytime i try to use it.

After 5th attempt i went back to previous launcher.

Lol

works great for me so far!! only thing i would ask for if not addressed already.... i hate having to setup my windows (chat, overview, local, d-scan.. etc. etc...) for every single character i have (18 toons, 6 accounts) and my ocd gets pissed off when one is off just slightly.... i have been doing the "hack" of copying the character and user dat files in the local roaming so that all toons are exact... but i think this is something that should also be remembered in the settings from the launcher... if its even possible i might add. Other than that... yay for shiny launcher and one button multi client startup. +1 CCP <3

I downloaded the launcher.exe and nothing happens when I execute it, no error no messages...nothing. I tried to run as administrator but nothing happens also.

Lady Areola Fappington:  Solo PVP isn't dead!  You just need to make sure you have your booster, remote rep, cyno, and emergency Falcon alts logged in and ready before you do any solo PVPing.

in case this was not mentioned already, and if it is i second.

The ability to import current settings into this so i don;t have to rearrange all my screens (dual monitor) chat channels, etc would be great

I play on multiple monitors and I like to have certain accounts always on the same monitors.

Is there any way to build in a function that will remember which monitor a client was exited from and relaunch there... as in per character account?

I'm having issues with resolutions using multiple monitors using the new launcher

If I launch a character with the old launcher on my 2nd monitor it runs in 2560 x 1387 resolution
The desktop on this monitor runs at this resoulution or very close to it.

If I launch a character with the new launcher on my 2nd monitor however it runs in 1792 x 1067 and doesn't have the option to go higher.

This happens whether it's the same character or different characters,

Using the old launcher I can fit 2 characters side by side on this monitor, using the new launcher they don't shrink enough to fit next to each other

My first monitor is working correctly at all times.. and both monitors work correctly using the old launcher

launcher is great, i hated putting password over and over...

only bad side of it that i see until now is that u have to remake all your ingame settings .. and that sucks hard


so for those that don`t want to do that just wait until they figure out how to import settings

This. I play three windowed clients and am always annoyed they can't remember being maximized, position, or even which monitor they were on.

Great work on the new launcher! I have some feedback from my experience using it so far.

* I left the launcher open overnight, and when I tried to start up a client, I got an error stating the authentication token had expired (I saved the password). There was no way I could see to re-enter the password, so I had to restart the launcher. Is this intentional?

* Would love to see functionality to copy/import/export settings in a way. I am playing on more than one pc which makes setting things up tedious. Either export/import via local files or (even better?) via server side storage.

* Have the option to specify account AND character for an entry in the list, so we can start the client with a specific character.

* Show a portrait next to the client in the Processes view so you know which is which.

* Have the different pages (Web GUI, Processes...) as a command button somewhere on the main GUI.

* I am not a fan of the "double arrow" icon in the lower right corner of the window.

Since you are giving the option for the launcher to be left open (But minimized) is it not perhaps possible to minimize it to the windows tray?

My ocd makes me want to close programs I see on my task bar that I am not using, otherwise I start feeling like my pc is getting cluttered.
So if it minimized to the window tray, then that would sort that out, and it would still remain on in the background.

Just a thought from me

To make sure I am talking about the thing I think I am talking about....
Windows Tray is the thingy on the task bar, on the left. Click the arrow and stuff's pop out?

Now if it'll only open my three clients on the three monitors in the positions I last left them.

Tried a few times. I have to drag each client to the respective monitor I keep it on.

:)

I like the fact that I can keep the launcher open now and not have to restart the launcher to get updates.

Its awesome, like it, but seemed a bit slower, cant judge it in a negative manner... wlll test it more

Well... have had the launcher sitting for some time now ( everyone has to sleep sometimes right? ) and the first thing I encounter is "The authentication token has expired, please log in again." ... it ruined my joy of this shiny new toy.

also.. when above event happens and you press the "logout" button all accounts get reset ( password wise ) and you are prompted to input again... but only for last account, not the others.

Launcher is awesome.
Only thing I'd suggest is making it so you can't launch more than one instance of it and once an Eve client has been launched, it auto-minimises itself.

That and importing previous settings (which was said to be coming in the form of a tool or something)

few issues more:


  • After logging out and back in the text "The authentication token has expired, please log in again." is still displayed.
  • If I Click "Stop Process" the eve client doesn't close but ask if I really want to quit. Hard to notice if it's in the background. Could a bigger preview of the client be shown with that question on the launcher? ("Are you sure you want to close this client?")

I like what I see so far.

However what I would like to see is :

When I log out from Account 1 Character 1 - instead of having to relaunch the launcher - could I be taken back to the character selection screen so I can change to Account 1 Character 2

Don't know if this counts as a launcher issue or a logout issue
