How does one download the BETA launcher? I cannot find a link on the updates page, or a check box for it in the settings section of the current launcher.

I appreciate the work on the new launcher. This is promising to bring the extended functionality that actually makes a launcher make sense and will stop me from launching the exe directly. I can't wait to be able to easily swap between live and test servers.

I would like to know if a dev could make a comment on Linux. More than a few of us that probably show up as having an outdated crappy O/S aren't actually on XP but Linux. I'm going to give the new launcher a shot after dinner anyway, but am worried about the note about not having a new Mac launcher since the tech is pretty much the same.

I'm on a MAC. Started the launcher.... Says 'Downloading Eve Launcher Update'. But nothing seems to be happening. No update on the progress bar, etc.... Anyone else on a MAC, having issues. Up until tonight, everything has been working great.

I've seen tweets that new launcher works with "winetricks vcrun2013"

Well it took me a couple hours to hax in the new winetricks script and the repos. I basically tried all the things the hard way intentionally. I can confirm that the launcher does finally load and authentication works after loading vcrun2012 and vcrun2013.

There seems to be text on the far right edge, guessing they are news rss feeds, they are garbled.

Server selector seems to function.

Pressing the play button doesn't seem to do anything, but actually launches it in dx11 mode instead of the working dx9. Added "\/triPlatform=dx9" to the end of the run line, but it didn't fix it. Need to find a way to force dx9 for wine versions above 1.7.50.

Escape menu and gear icon doesn't work yet on new launcher to change settings there.

Did update to wine-staging patchset 1.7.52 and confirmed same.

Slightly off topic but anyway, I just submitted a bug report about red colouring on scroll bar to the right of the accounts list and within 30 mins the launcher seemed to update and it was gone, I was not expecting that !!

Yeah, we pushed out a fix for the red scroll bars today. We're keeping track of issues and requests in this thread:

My deep apologies for not finding the devblog forum post where I could provide feedback. I did spend 15 minutes poking around but still missed it.

Somebody please lock this threat to reduce the stupidity and distractions. The OP's question was clearly answered and my info is a distraction.
