I have been looking around and playing with fitting tools, but I really can't find a Tengu fit that would be able to challenge the Proteus or Loki. zkillboard kills prettymuch just shows extremely blingy or PVE fits...

I used to fly the Tengu for sites about a year ago, but stopped and started using other ships. I have a few Tengu hulls sitting around and was wondering if I could find any use for them besides increasing the estimated value of my shiphangar.

Are there any good suggestions for the tengu these days?
I'd be interested in a cov-ops fit for cyno-jumps as well as a more standard Tengu/blengu fit.
I'm asking because I'm not the used to pvp fitting T3s, so my knowledge in this area outside of the rail-fleet doctrin tengu is very limited.

There you go, MUST 100% go with at least full skirmish but skrimish and siege is preferred. Also you must be in at least mg snakes + zors to undock.

Yes to the fit, but MG+ Snakes aren't the same priority as skirmish links and bonus agility. Even without snakes, you're still some 2.5km/s cold which is fast enough to engage a lot already.

Very nice fit, so there's still a 100mn tengu.
I haven't seen them around for a long time and wasn't sure they were even being used anymore.
but yes this ship could cause some serious harm to some unlucky pilot if flown correctly
thanks alot o/

Here you have 2 fits i use. I prefer one with the x-large shield booster. Its pretty close (99,9% CPU used). 520 dps, 650 speed, but you have really nice tank (1660 HP/s) - cost 720M

Buffer - 700 dps, 95k EHP, same speed - cost 600M

Go to SiSi, fit 10 different tengus and see which one is the best for you...

Thx! Both looks really good, have high missile and medium hybrid skills, pluss maxed fittingskills so this shouldn't be a problem.

I'd put some bling into the invul. The CFC carrier bots have driven those prices so low it would be silly not to.

With the buffer fit replace the defensive subsystem "amplification node" with "supplemental screening". Amp node makes no sense in a buffer fit.

Also you can consider using the cap regeneration matrix engineering subsystem which will restrict you to only 5 turrets but add an extra low slot on which you can fit an extra mag stab ( or a tracking enhancer). That will solve the cap issues 6 turret tengus usually face and prevent you from being neuted to uselessness in a few seconds by a single, unbonused to neuts, frig or cruiser.
