Hey volks,

i'm CIO of a software development company and i've written a lot of addons and modifications to SeAT for my alliance.
A few other corps / alliances have contacted me and asked if i would be willing to sell those and after i'm receiving a lot of requests via ingame convos i'm now putting up this thread.

For sale are:

  1. Timerboard [ 2B ISK ]
  2. Shipreplacement [ 2B ISK ]
  3. Evernus Alliance Market integration [ 5B ISK ]
  4. Teamspeak integration (Auth) [ 1,5B ISK ]
  5. IRC integration (Auth) [ 1,5B ISK ]
  6. vBulletin forums integration (Auth) [ 1,5B ISK ]
  7. Slack Chat integration (Auth) [ 3B ISK ]

install service for each module are depending on your setup and time needed but approx. 500m ISK
install service for default SeAT 500m ISK fix.

if you have additional requests or need some custom coding feel free to ask.

Trades go 50% ISK upfront -> code delivery -> 50% final transfer

I'm also the project leader and lead developer at www.eve-operations.com which is going to be a eve-central recode with CREST live prices and also has a very neat API.

kind regards,

Aurelia

PS: credits and a big thanks to qu1ckkkk who wrote the original SeAT tool

Not a huge fan of using SeAT as an auth (It's a great background check/intel/security tool but meh for a auth backend) but that said tools seem nicely integrated and clean looking.

Would add some color to the timerboard tho otherwise its just a wall of text.

(I critique because this is the forum for that, sell stuff in the sell orders section)

Hey,

Nice work on your add-ons! Big smile

Just one thing. Since I make 0 ISK out of SeAT, I want to put out a friendly request for you to open source your modifications instead of selling them. I know, the MIT license allows for you to do what you please (and rightfully so), so make with this what you want.

As a side note, SeAT 1.x is currently a WIP (and almost complete rewrite from the ground up), architecturally designed to be super plugin friendly. The license however will not allow you to sell any part of it and need to FOSS it anyways ;)

Thanks!

Wait so are you going to completely ignore that the guy who made seat asked you to not charge for these and make them open source?

A server system that does what an alliance/corp needs.
I had the task as many do of putting together our alliances communications and internet presence.. It is a daunting task in these times... SECURITY, ease of use, Can I get it to install..

When I started I looked at what was available and thought to go with what I knew well. A Drupal CSM as front end and controller to pass on to TeamSpeak, some bbs and slack our users and ensure that all who use it were legit..

I then was directed to SeAT and Aurelia's plug-ins to manage all this. Was very hard to evaluate as there was no way to see what it did and how.. I did get to see SeAT in operation along with the plugin for the Ship Replacement System and I was sold. No idea how the plug-ins worked but the little demo I saw sold me.

Sadly my beloved server runs CentOS6 and that has been a huge issue.. Many hands tried to manage SeAT into the server with no success. Was a long while and a few burnt helpers upon which I had to call in the big guns and the issues where solved bit by bit..

CentOS6 is not an easy choice to install on it seems.. "if this would be a debian/ubuntu server everything would work fine" was the comment made. Aurelia came in and saved the day and made a square fit in a round hole. Now it works..

I am technialy a jack of all trades and master of none save maybe my beloved Squid servers. So getting this beast up and running and now to configure is a mind warping exercise. there are so many possibilities and sadly SeAT has very very very little documentation that I can find so far.

Currently I have the SeAT and vbulletin servers installed and well as the plugin. This means that when my users register into SeAT they get registered into VB and it shows up as part of SeAT which is convenient and looks great. One stop shopping. Easy for the users and easy for the admins.

I am still lost as to how the Groups work and which is the best way to set it all up but I see a HUGE light at the end of my tunnel today.. The server will work and run as expected..

Tomorrow I take on TeamSpeak plugin and then the Slack one... and will give more details on how I do..

Thank you to the makers of SeAT you have created a wonderful program..

Thank you to Aurelia for bing such a bright light at the end of my tunnel.. I have met few that do what they say.. Aurelia is one of them!!!!

Right the story so far..

CentOS seemed to be trouble... nothing went right and it was a lot of bug fixing...

So moved over to Umbuntu and it all changed. Install went as it should of seat which was a first.

Installed VB and got it running and after a few false starts got the plug in to work.

Few things were missing from the instructions but it does as it is meant to..
So currently it will create an account for the user under the same name and password.
If you change the password on Seat it changes it on VB.

Currently there is no system for groups to be included. so all are in one group with admins being in an admin group..
Aurelia Manbeater said they were working on adding that portion..

The system controls access so if the user is not in a corp on the system then they don't get access.

It is a tad confusing for the user and I found that some editing of the VB server so that reset of password and a few other things directed the user back to seat.

FWIW. When SeAT 1.x is out, some integration work will be done too to allow for SeAT to play the role of an auth source for forums / teamspeak etc. We are getting close to releasing it too! :)

For now, I would advise against committing too much on the old 0.x code base. Its effectively in a feature freeze, and will become EOL once 1.x is fully stable.
