Low Effort PI

I'm running a low effort wormhole setup that is probably so inefficient it will make the min/maxers cry into their spreadsheets :p. PI is low on my priorities in Eve, but I like it for a passive isk source where I click a few buttons a couple of times a week, and occasionally haul some stuff to hisec to sell. I am looking to improve it, without adding substantially to the effort required. Some info on my current setup:

- 3 chars, two with CC upgrades 5, one of which has Interplanetary at 4 and runs my Factory planet. Others have Interplanetary at 3.
- All non factory planets run 2 extractor control units with maybe 4-8 nodes, 4 basic factory, 2 advanced, resulting in p2
- I run cycles that vary a little bit, but tend to be aimed at balancing an equal amount of resource across them all for that character. E.g. I'll pick 1,000,000 total extraction per ECU approx, and it will need resetting in just under 5 days, with some idle time (not bothered about that sort of waste)
- haul it all to POS when there's enough accumulated to almost fill a hauler, then take it to factory char planet where there's a metric shitton of factories turning it into p3
- I don't tend to move the extractor nodes when I reset, I just tweak the time to get roughly the right balance, unless it's way down on yield.
- 1 character is purely PI, the others are PvP chars that I will use on deployments for extended amounts of time. Filling up the launchpads is a bit of an issue I'm not sure how to solve. I was thinking of adding silos now they have CCU 5, but not sure about how to route these efficiently of if there is a better way. The factory planet has enough factories to catch up eventually.

Anything else I can do to improve output without increasing the amount of time I have to spend substantially? Let's say resetting extractors no more than twice a week, hauling no more than once a week (no freighter etc). I tried a more intense setup in the past and burned out pretty quickly. I've kept at this with no real issues for a while now.

sounds like you've got a setup you can manage.

My only suggestion would be to try and build up a stockpile for your factory planets and use your PI Only pilot for all factory setups (assuming that character has CCU V).

The simplest way to increase your extraction rate is to simply cycle them more often as you get the most P0 extraction in the early part of the cycle. I run 2d1h30m cycles on my extraction-> P1 planets and try and cycle them every day. Takes ~10mins to cycle three characters with a total of 19 extraction planets. And yes, my setup is far from 'low effort'

If one of my pilots is on deployment and their launchpad fills up, I'll scratch an industry facility (if necessary on a CCU IV char, CCU V can often not bother and can build the extra launchpad while keeping all their BIFs intact), throw up another launchpad and 'Expedited Transfer' the goods.

Thanks for the tips!

Edit: I've never used expedited transfer before, and can't seem to find much about it, what does it do? (other than the obvious what it says on the tin)

You can use it to move stuff from a storage unit to another storage unit or launchpad (Or the CC if its a small amount)

TL'DR Move Stuff™ from storage unit A to to Storage Unit B
