So RL has momentarily stopped our hard working CEO from adding to his previous post but this is OK with us as RL comes first. Smile We are just going to make sure he works hard to catch-up when he can log in for more than a few minutes a day! Twisted

So if you work strange hours or even can't be in game regularly we could be the corp for you. We are a fun and friendly with a fair few bells and whistles (thanks to our CEO) but RL always comes first.

I just want to say, september was amazing. As a corp we have beaten all the records since we joined SMA, like most kills ever , highest bounty per day and so forth.Cool
We are having a good time and I want to see what we're going to achieve this month. So if you want to be part of it, just join us in our channel or TS and find out more.

@ Mukk: Sherlock

On another note......

Going through the archives of this ancient corporation, it becomes clear that this corp was not just a pure mining / industrialist corporation.
We found a lot of data about mining, build ships and modules. But to our surprise we found battle reports. I think we have to change our view on the history of these so called "carebears"....... What follows is a battle report in some far away constellation..

One of our warriors is raising a warning. A massive fleet is reported in E9KD-N attacking the alliance jumpbridge.
Fleet undocked and we flew as fast as possible to E9KD-N. Intel suggested the hostile NC fleet left the system after our jumpbridge was incapacitated.Other intel said 2 other hostile fleets were about. We jumped into E9KD-N and went to the outer gate 6R. We waited there and then FC warped fleet to the pos and jumpbridge. Repairs were conducted on JB. Then 40 hostiles jumped in system.
It appears to be a Waffles bomber fleet and they engaged us. Our FC's keep their calm and giving out their orders. Then suddenly local fills up from 195 to 235 ( those bombers) to 375....Then 429 over 600..................... Then it started. An enemy Ishtar fleet from Pandemic Legion appeared at 125 km from us. FC tries to get us closer, while we kill small ships. Then we finally get in range and FC is trying to kill the enemy logistics. I'm trying but something is happening. Everything went into a slowmotion. I could not trust my systems anymore. I was focused to keep up with the FC orders. I heard faintly on comms something about supers jumping in. Not sure, everything is a blurr atm. Titans jumped on top of me. Thank God!!!! they are friendly.....

End of transmission

Interested yet?

Are you a loner in space never known the fun of a corp? Are you a hisec happy PvEer who’s never had the excitement (or ISK making potential) of null? Perhaps you are a j-space dweller fed up with punching dscan till your finger bleeds?

Why not try the relaxed friendly environment of Discoverings …… There’s still drama if you need it (PvP fleets etc), you can explore, rat or mine on your tod if you like (but interaction in EVE is fun!) and there’s no need to punch dscan as people appear in local! Big smile

I look forward to you joining our recruitment channel or speaking to us on TS (be warn if the cola or chocolate milk has been consumed the banter can be boisterous!!) **

**Average corp memeber age 35-50 though we have members in their teens to over 50 Shocked

Discoverings - Having fun is our motto - no toys being thrown out of prams, no stomping off into the night, just good clean family friendly fun!

Most of the corp, though not all, are over 30 (or even 40 and some are in their 50s!) so we have enough drama in RL without carrying it over into our online life.

Head to http://www.discoverings.net/the-corp/about and join us for a chat on TS, no password required.

Yay, we've arranged a Corp Wolfpack roam for Friday. Excellent. Here's to hoping I'm back from my client visits during the day. Hopefully the weekend will be a bit clear so that I can carry on with some ice-mining in between.

Our recent bout of fun down in Cloud Ring is all done - so it looks like The Imperium litmus test of FozzieSov was all done and dusted in just 4 short days. I especially enjoyed being out in the Quick Reaction Force in a Jackdaw - got well KillMail whored on 42 kills over 4 evenings. I got carried away on one night with 6 hours in fights, flights and runs. You should have seen the look my wife gave me when I eventually logged out at midnight! All is good though because I took my daughter out to a horse riding event the day after and stood in the cold wind and rain all day so I won my Eve points back and went straight back out in the fun in Eve the next evening.

That's really a good snapshot of Discoverings these days. You log in, you may mine, you may rat, you may end up chatting away on Teamspeak for a couple of hours. You may be on an alliance roam, you may be off on your own or with friends on a LowSec roam, or helping the Alliance deal with a neutral gang that is looking for fun. It may be that the Coalition (The Imperium) is doing something cool and we want to go and tag on with the other alliances in group action. I love the fact there's so much to do, so much opportunity and that we are all just getting on with enjoying each others company and the rewards of teaming up that the game offers.

It's Saturday, you are at home and bored so you have logged onto EVE for some fun BUT .....

You are in a stagnant corp with few active members or you are sitting in HiSec running the same old L4 missions or mining poor value ore. So now you have signed into the forums, browsing through the corp adverts. Wait one minute ....

You have found what you have been looking for - Discoverings IS the corp for you!

If you read through some of our post you can see how much fun we have. As Orion said above we decided on a corp roam last night. It was great fun, we got a few kills (15 or so I believe) and some of us learned some new techniques thanks to some friends from another alliance corp who came on the roam with us. Others where mining or ratting. Team Speak was as lively as ever. You may not be much at talking on it but you can certainly listen to the banter, the discussions on ship fits or even the latest food we are eating (Indian cuisine recipies from Sragir!).

So why be bored, come have some fun and make some new friends from all over planet Earth. Cool

Come join in the fun here at Discoverings.

(Maybe "Your my Daddy" will be on TS to add to the recipes with good ol' southern pulled pork Blink)

Good ol' southern pulled pork or Indian curry.....they can be hot and spicey. Just like us in discoverings.
So come and have a look at our website and a chat on our TS, because we're still looking for some good people.

Came back to EVE after a few months of break, found Discoverings by browsing these forums. Checked their website, loved the clean transparent setup of the corp.

I joined with a friend, and we are having a lot of fun. Settling in was smooth, made so by all the information corp provides to newcomers. Now we rat, explore, PVP, debate fits, plan the future with the new expansions.

What I especially like is the mature, no drama environment. We behave as adults, shoot jokes, and have good fun doing it.

Consider us. I certeanly am happy I found this corp.

We have some great corp members in Discoverings, people like Frank and his firend MJ, Sragir, Daddy and Grandiosa and lots lots more (oh and especially the CEO Orion!) make it a pleasure to be in game and on TS.

I am a little disappointed Frank hasn't supplied any recipes as yet though..... Roll And don't expected any off of Orion, he seems to just like drinking tea and eating chips! Shocked

Drinking Tea! Now there's something civilised to do. Eating chips; I can't help it, they taste so good!

So, here ends another week. Lot's of excellent news out of Vegas. Discoverings has firmly got its sights on setting up our own Large Citadel in one of our preferred home systems. Mind you, when I logged in this evening to enjoy a relaxed quiet night in with the chaps in Corp I found all the corpies online actively engaged in a self inducted roam across 3 regions of NullSec.

I quickly pulled on my fightin' clothes; jumped into a Svipul and then came out to lend a hand. 6 Jumps later we had a scrap with another Svipul gang of 8; we took out 3 and a pod and won that little Isk war!

Then my wife hollered for me to fix a bulb in my daughters bedroom; so back home I shoot, using the alliance jump bridge to make the journey just a little shorter and quicker. Fixed the light bulb. I get back to the game half an hour later and the guys are still out blasting anything that moves. I think I'll fire up the Industrial Core in the Rorqual and get some laid back mining done.

There you go; first hand evidence of a typical evening with the Discoverings crew. We end another month in the Alliance. We've done really well again this month. Over 750 additional kills on the killboard and at 85% efficiency. Not bad for a bunch of carebears (with some teeth).

Corp finances are sound! Everyone is happy. The game is changing quickly; especially over the Winter. It's a great time to be in the game.

Oh, I put a new slideshow on the corp website here so pop over and have a look. All pictures taken during the last week showing the sorts of stuff we get up to. Let me know what you think!

Swing by our Teamspeak at discoverings.net (no password required) and meet the team!

The nights are drawing in and the days are getting colder (well if you are in the northern hemisphere anyway!) no better time to discover a new found love of EVE in a new corp deep in NullSec ...... Discoverings Big smile

Eat chips and drink tea (or some other beverage of your choice) while chatting to a great bunch of Carebears turned bloodthirsty PvPers.

(The less said about Orion drinking coke while eating strawberries the better Ugh, I knew our CEO had a dark side.)

We have a broad range of folks in Discoverings from Denarians to Quinquagenarians, we even accept those with strange food tastes ...... we have to otherwise the CEO would be long gone. Twisted

He's been hard at work for the corp adding content and toys in game and out of game so come and have a chat and see how we can make EVE even more fun! Lol
