Why would you buy a Venture? You get one for free in the tutorials

I wouldn't mind to have spare one later on if i decide to try tutorials.. Or you think all newbies has to run through tutorials right from the start?

Ventures are often available for almost nothing at schools from buy orders.

I ended up with 300 of the things at Trossere once because I put in a random buy order for 300 @ 50K each. Gave them to the Angel Project.

You don't have to do the tutorials, but why would you not? Why do you think they exist?

Just one set of tutorials will net you a chunk of ISK, numerous skillbooks and about a dozen ships - including two Ventures, thus providing you with a spare.

A few of the Career Agent missions are courier-type missions which require a collateral (it isn't large, but it's still a collateral).

This is a game about making or breaking it on your own merits but in a group environment. It kind of follows the corporatist's entrepreneurial spirit of looking at things.

Nothing in this game is or should be handed to you. Everything that you have or become in this game is because you either earned it on your own or took it from someone who did. So if you are looking for handouts then may I point out that there are plenty of other MMOs out there that are more than willing to accommodate you. This is just not one of them.

I posted to the OP before I read the thread. Upon reading I feel stupid for even posting. Seems like an obvious troll to me.

I should have figured that out right away when he was complaining about 5K isk.

To the OP good on ya sir you got me on this one.

I don't see what's good about trolling in a forum section where it's strictly forbidden.

Do you have Dr. degree in social network psychology? You have read my psychological portrait based on this thread?

I'm 16 years old i do leave in Nebraska. I have father and mother and two younger systers. I do visit church on sundays. I do belive in God. I made a "bait" thread, i didn't troll anyone here, no direct offence from my side.

No worries kid, the old farts came to slap you.

Not so much good from the inherent good or bad perspective as I don't believe such a thing exists but more I acknowledged that he accomplished his goal, acknowledging that he did indeed get me with it and also outing him or making him aware that the gig is up.

However I do agree with you that the NC Q&A section of the forum is intended to be a safe haven for very new players to come and ask what us vets could consider "stupid" questions and still get real answers. We come here with the intent to help new players and expect to get some silly questions and I believe that trolling in this section of the forums is an abuse of that altruistic effort.

Not sure what the Opportunities system rewards, but the old "Career" agents are still available in the newbie stations, and doing their combined sets of missions gives 10 million ISK in free skills, ships, and actual cash. You can go from station to station and repeat the career missions each time.

Then, when you get tired of that, the Sisters of EVE story arc gives at least another 10 million.

So, 400k ISK, pfft.

You didn't get the point. Why do we have 5,000 isk at all? Why do new characters need them? Buy one rubish mode? No. To accept missions you don't need to pay. So, what is this tiny ammount of isk for? And why not just make it a lilttle bit higher?

For same reason we get 1 Tritanium in our rookie ships when poded. A little tradition and a wink to a player.

From all the things 5k isk issue for new players sounds silly to even make your brain work about it.

If true you should be aware that the average Eve player is considerably older than in most games, as such they see the world through more experienced/jaded eyes; some of them have kids your age, others are grandparents.

If you act the fool, we'll treat you as one; act like an adult, we'll treat you as one.

If it was intentional you want to be really careful not to do that in here, the ISD team tends to frown upon any kind of shenanigans in this part of the forums.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

What you are describing here I believe can be classified as being 16 years old or just in general teen angst.

I think that our society has made taboo so many different aspects of human interaction that people often reach out for any type of interaction even negative interaction. I think this game as well as many others is an excellent example of that. The piracy and other forms of virtual victimization are just a means to get some kind of emotional interaction IMHO.

Oh god, I look back at 16-21 year old me and think "you evil little shite". I so owe my parents the biggest apology you can imagine.

That may, or may not, be the case; but how boring would Eve be without them?

Maybe so, but he's done it NCQA, which is inappropriate.

The social commentary is irrelevant and nobody is actively bashing him other than giving a friendly warning about not doing it this part of the forums, where it is forbidden.

5. Trolling is prohibited.

Trolling is a defined as a post that is deliberately designed for the purpose of angering and insulting other players in an attempt to incite retaliation or an emotional response. Posts of this nature are disruptive, often abusive, and do not contribute to the sense of community that CCP promote.

17. Redundant and re-posted threads will be locked.

As a courtesy to other forum users, please search to see if there is a thread already open on the topic you wish to discuss. If so, please place your comments there instead. Multiple threads on the same subject clutter up the forums needlessly, causing good feedback and ideas to be lost. Please keep discussions regarding a topic to a single thread.
