Yes, yes, You guessed it, this thread is to make recommendation on EVE compatible hardware.

I will also try to review what is not compatible with EVE (Online, DUST 514, etc...) when, how and why.

One important point to add is in relation to video cards, since their value possibly amounts to 50% of the system.

(To start , I found about 2 or 3 compatible systems at around $200 or $100 each.
The corresponding Video cards value per costis about equal, directly repectively to a 100% .)

I don't have an Android Phone or iPhone which I can use yet (though I bought one in Germany around 2013).
However, I do use and have an Android tablet with 512 MB RAM and KitKat (v4.4.2).
Furthermore, I recently found a power outlet which lets me use it for over 2 to 3 hours on Android Chrome .
Twitch.tv would drain the battery in around 1 hour to 1.5 hour if without AC

It recharges at around 50% of the time it takes to consume the power while running.
It may recharge to 100% in less than 3 hours or 4 hours from 4% to 16% remaining power warnings (unconfirmed).

Do you prefer me to EVE Mail You?

What HW system(s) do you use for EVE Online or even to post on the forums?

Nono, I'm sorry, I miss actual content you are speaking of. All you posted about what some irrelevant drivel that has nothing to do with the title of the thread. Unless I'm just not seeing it.

Eve Online Technical Support:
- Download, Installation and Updates:
- - System Requirements:
- - Senior GM Karidor: - = - = - April 29, 2015

Common

All hardware regardless of platform must support the following minimum requirements:

* CPU that supports SSE2
* GPU
- * with 256 MB VRAM or more
- * that supports Shader Model 3
- * that supports DirectX 9.0c

* Drivers: DirectX 9.0c (included)
* Audio
- * that is Direct Sound compatible and supports SSE

* HD: 20 GB free space (or more)
* Network: ADSL connection (or faster)
* DVD-ROM: 2x-speed DVD reader (for boxed editions only)

The minimum screen resolution for the EVE Online Client is 1024x768. For optimum
performance always use the latest available drivers for all hardware, including

The expectation for the Minimum System Requirements is that all game features
can be used on low-end hardware that still meets those requirements. All graphics settings
are set to their lowest values. The resolution is set to 1024x768.

The expectation for the Recommended System Requirements is that there is a smooth
and visually enjoyable experience across all game features. All graphics settings can
be set to their highest values. The resolution should not exceed 1920x1200, though
higher resolutions can be used with lower settings.

Please note that when in large-scale situations, such as fleet fights, you are

The fact that most things will run Eve and that in the MMO world its actually one of the lowest requirements in terms of hardware out there this thread will be going places imo.

Ive ran Eve on 10 year old systems in the past all the way up to brand new stuff. I run 4 computers and 6 monitors so I just upgrade each as I need to to maintain a decent overall system. Cuz theres no need to make a high end system. Sure I can do the same thing with one computer for the same overall money but I love having dedicated systems, nevermind that the girlfriend can use a computer when she comes over and we dont have to share.... gamer gfs... the bane of ALL men *snicker*.

Have you heard anything I've said?

You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?

That's right.

Well not so much anymore with updated shaders. a 8 year old laptop will have problems with it (though a 8 year old laptop had problems with it in the first place if the videocard wasn't up to snuff).

Running 3 clients simultaneously, no issues.

Had to disable Windows Aero to get it running without buffer or spikes in framerate (if you have that issue, disable aero OR disable Desktop Composition).

A Q6600 is still awesome on this game.

Yaay!!!!

EVE Online system requirements | Can I Run EVE Online

+ I saw this a while back while verifying for laptop video cards:
An external video card video on YouTube, which is probably still there.
It had no casing, and was only a video port, with the video card wobbling, but functional for all computing needs.
I'll try to retrieve the video from YouTube's history (record) when I'm not on my Android and have the time.

In the meantime, I found this today:
Android Google Search:
for
external video card reader which function with laptop

Some (1) in reverse order, the others from the Android Chrome browser history file since I had to close the tabs (6 maximum)

http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-External-Video-Monitor-Adapter/dp/B005G306I2
no ideas how this works yet, didn't read specs either

http://www.iogear.com/product/GUC2015V/
this one is not what I was looking for (how to connect an external video card to a laptop, to play EVE O) but it can run a 2nd monitor.

For sure, except this guy is running this on a Windows tablet 8.1 ???

There was an offer on Android Smartphones at $50 off ($29 for a $79 phone and so on...) which (unfortunately) expired today .

I also got a Kingston 16 MB USB to save EVE Online video and related data.
For $18, it runs transfer protocol version 3.0 (speed and capacity wise).

Perhaps of use would be to include a list of hardware categories levels and types related to specific devices.

Such as, for:

1.
- The Memory (RAM, Random Access Memory, for the CPU) has different types like DDR-3 and others...
Those specification relate to the type of RAM and , in some case, have related RAM speed for data processing...
Those RAM chip type may not be compatible with RAM connectors on certain motherboard.
Prior instances of Ram compatibility used to relate to parity and non-parity type for which I even forgot the related properties of each type.
(I would have to verify that.)

2.
- The Motherboards with speed in GHz (Giga-Hertz, related to rate at which data cycles through the system before repeating itself) as well as other parameters such as:
Dual Core, Quad Core which refers to the numbers of microprocessors (CPU) in the motherboard.
(I would have to verify but it might be it.)
* Other factors related are:
The bus speed which related to the ratios in time or other factors for data transfer and processing from the CPU to the on-board devices (on-board = on the motherboard).

3.
Hard disks requirements in Giga-bytes, in relation to storage capacity.
This is a minimum requirement for loading the program in storage to run on the CPU.
The Hard-disk also needs free space to load the program virtual memory.
There are other factors involved, including the data speed for retrieval (read) and write speed.
SSD hard-disk (or SATA?) offers more accurate data processing with reduced risk of errors compared to previous other hard-disk type.
(I would have to verify which is best, but it might be close to it.)

The above info are not only theoretical but practical reference to system compatibility and, requirements, as well.

Some more hardware systems to check for me are:
A.
$140 (this week only) Dell D630 Laptop
Core 2 DUO, 1.8 GHz, 2 GB Ram, 80 GB HD, DVD, Wifi, Win 7 COA
Brand new battery, Reg. $170

B.
Lenovo B50 laptop
AMD E1600, 4GB Ram, 320 GB HD, Windows 7 & Windows 8
$300, Reg. $350

C.
HP 6005 Tower
AMD 3.0 Ghz, 4 GB Ram, 250 GB HD, Win 7 COA
$140, Regular price $170

(There was LCD monitor for around $45 to $55.)

Those offers won't be available next week when I get enough resources to buy them, so would cost me more.

My current tablet only has 512 MB RAM and is not half as good as I'd need to run programs requiring 1 GB RAM.
However, I ran programs requiring amounts of RAM higher than was actually loaded on the system being run.
I am not certain if the system compatibility for more RAM affected the program to run with less than required hardware.
However, the program ran with less than desirable results, although that it did ran technically speaking.
One may need to be technically adapt enough to run the program under conditions with less hardware than the suggested required specifications.
(btw, RAM offered price do not relate to Ram offering as in referred you know where...)

Furthermore,
some program are literally designed to refuse to even install if not enough hardware is found or detected.
I used to have to make "trapping" program which detected installed hardware return code for processing.
This code (machine language) is in turn integrated into programs to react and inform accordingly.

(For instance, you can't load certain version MS-DOS on hard-disk over 1 GB or so...)

It would generate artificially intelligent system to have operating system monitor all programs and keep functional buffer (like Task Manager), but even more integrated into protecting against overload.
Many programs already keep track of memory usage during processing, however, it may only take one that doesn't to crash the system.

There's also more phone offers but I'll pass for now...
Those offers will be good for future reference to verify what was available at what price and to compare with current systems.
[I heard Windows 10 will unroll to 1 billion machine creating an internet (electronic network system, including wireless) problem.]

(Now, let's see if this will save without crashing and too many typos...)

People used to ask a lot about whether their pc's are good enough to run Eve online.

Now adays PC tech is so far advanced that we should be asking "Is Eve Online good enough to run on my pc?"

My tablet's screen was broken but I found a 1.8 GHz desktop that would work for $89.

I am not sure that it would run EVE Online though as it requires 2.0 GHz minimum.

There is around 2 GB to 4 GB of RAM on that system (I could verify, but 2 GB of RAM would be enough).

Question:
Does EVE Online work on 1.8 GHz?

I'm running EVE on a 3960x with a GTX680 and 16GB of ram at 4k 60hz on a asus 32 inch pro art.

Actually one of the reasons i started playing EVE again was that my videocard can run it comfortably at 4k maxed out but struggles to run other games at decent fps.

The irony is i started playing as a time filler until i rebuilt my rig with a watercooled dual sli titan x, but am enjoying EVE so much its completely negated to need tp upgrade lol.

I actually underclocked my 3960x to 3ghz to keep the temps down and kerp fans idle, and it still barely breaks 20 percent cpu load.

There's no school like the old school and I've been expelled.
