Office rental price increase

After recieving a 74M ISK for monthly rental (payable 2/2/2011) for a corp office in an Ishukone Corporation station, I looked an the previous bills and they were as follows:

1/1/2012 - 61.5M
4/12/2011 - 15M
2/11/2011 - 4M

I originally got the office here because the 4M was cheap for the system I wanted. Is there any reason for this price hike?

The rental fee depends on the total of offices being taken over a certain time period.

The above thread should explain the mechanics. In essence, it's probably because more offices were rented, thus driving up prices.

Thanks for the info. The price hike does seem to be far more extreme than the +5% max mentioned in the linked post though :(

It keeps adding up if all offices are taken. I've seen a quote by chribba who paid at some point 154M for office space, while he noted it was still going up.
