Probably. CCP won't introduce a way to wash and wax your ships, only for AUR because they need yet another way to grab money from your wallet. Blink

That aside, will the map actually become usable or will CCP just add more features without making the map usable first?

Considering they explicitly say you'll be able to 'clean' your ship through the ship fitting window in that..... I think the tinfoil is strong in this one.

Most excited about the new area of effect to teleport ships in vicinity ... this includes non-fleet ships as well, right? Twisted bye bye gate (gun) protection.

its aoe, I doubt it will work in empire. that said I can't imagine these being used to do anything but troll. if they can be used in empire I'd be very tempted to just mess around on the jita undock.

I just can't believe they drop this kinda line on a Friday, and give no info Cry

oh and the ewar tiericide, I must know more!!!

One thing that comes to my mind is to jump a group of fast-locking heavy tackle to a group of Petes and lock them down while the damage comes in after.

They might also be decent in a small gang where you might not have a perch on a gate. Warp the fleet to 100km, jump the fleet out an additional 100km (or however far the Dessie can jump a fleet) and you have a new perch. Of course, it would be better to have a scout for that, but in smaller gangs, scouts aren't always available.

Sniper fleets would probably be able to put them to use, as well, in order to reposition and get back to the desired ranges.

It's a partial replacement for Fleet Warping?

So-- just to verify, the November and December releases are qualified as Fall, so Winter would be anything after the solstice until the spring equinox? So Drifter shenanigans will come after the new year? ;)

Seagull: Remember when you took over your current job, and took the stage at fanfest nervous as all hell? (Yeah, it showed.)

90% of us do. It's much better eve overall since back then. There's a lot of disappointed people out there and they are disappointed not because we have to wait until spring, or because Fozzie and team needed another iteration to get sov right, but because we are so excited about eve's new potential, we just cannot contain ourselves and want it now.

I won't say you have to give in to us. Please, try to get it right. We know some iteration will be needed, and there will be loud children screaming while we wait for those iterations. Please forgive them for their cries, as they feel no one notices the imbalances but them. On the other hand, don't be so afraid to get things wrong you never release things when they are ready.

Eve is played in the long game. They've waited years for the cap balance pass, let them wait another couple months. Do your best to get it right, but if you don't, don't be ashamed to admit you were wrong.

Eve is looking great.

P.S. Fozzie looks like he could use a hug.

I guess my other question is with all the things getting falloff will there be a change to how falloff works? I'm not 100% on the falloff mechanics of ewar mods but it seems that in general falloff either causes a mod to work or not work. in the long run the numbers work themselves out to appropriate percentages, but when relying on one or two cycles a full hit or miss just seems like too much.

The MJFG is pretty.... what? I... don't know what to think about this but I am rather nervous given that the MJD is already almost exclusively used as an evasive module and devalues long points. Is this any ship in range or just fleetmates? Is it considered an aggressive action for crimewatch and weapon flagging and if not why not? Is the direction of the jump dependent on just the destroyer or is it independent for each ship caught in the field? Can you enter the field during warmup to join in on the jump? Are relative positions preserved or does it distribute ships like a fleet warp? Are velocities preserved or set to full in the direction of the jump like an MJD? What's the range of the field? How are we meant to stop neutrals from MJGFing targets we are engaging in highsec? How are we meant to stop neutrals from MJGFing bumped ships not only away from the bumper but into full alignment (and if this is the intent, competent people escape bumping already, it doesn't need to be made braindead)? Can they be activated in range of a station or gate or is this prohibited like a smartbomb? I'm interested but WORRIED. This sounds potentially really broken.

What's the "Tribute System"? It sounds like another ISK faucet, something we definitely don't need.

The rest sounds great and/or exciting.

I think their time is counted, now with BiB coming before end of the year.

There's Blood Raider burner missions. Not exactly "bear" stuff but it's highsec PvE. Like, the only new highsec PvE for the next 6 months...

In a move to pay tribute to the growing power of Capsuleers and their efforts throughout the universe, CONCORD has authorized a fund to fuel extra rewards for pod pilots on a regular basis.

For the sake of all present I'm going to hope that this isn't daily logon bonuses or literally daily quests, because that's exactly what this sounds like to me the way it's worded right now.

I'm sure that I can come with some ways in which that vague description could match a sensible and nicely done system.

But my bittervet senses say it's gonna be just some kind of passive income for nullbears and the net effect of it will be to inflate PLEX prices and make life harder for highsec PvErs.

Dinsdale Pirannha, is that you?

No, just a bittervet with extensive experience in CCP.
