Unable to boot EVE.

Specs:
2x GeForce 9800 GT
Vista Premium 32-Bit
Intel Core2 Quad CPU Q6600
4 GB RAM

Recently I've been unable to open EVE. This, of course, sucks. I believe it only started a week and a half ago, but the days have blurred together rather nicely.

When launching EVE either straight from the .exe or by using Grismar's client launcher - EVE gets past the Splash screen and stops responding soon after.

I attempted to redownload the client, but that resulted only in a few wasted hours. The repair tool was useless, but I didn't expect much from that anyways.

I thought this might be related to the recent Intel Chip failure reported, and checked the cards out. Both cards have been disabled for some reason, and refuse re-installation of drivers. This is probably an issue with no relation to EVE, but getting this fixed would be fantastic too.

Out of interest, why do you say that you didn't expect much from the Repair Tool? It's near and dear to my heart, so I'm interested to know why you thought so little of it. Hopefully there's something that we can do to improve your opinion of it.

Very few of any issues I've had with EVE have been fixable (or at least noticeably fixable) through the repair tool, and usually require an outside download or fix to ... well.. fix.

While it might actually be doing wonders for me, the lack of visibility makes it seem fairly pointless - if I don't see an issue being fixed, then it wasn't fixed. I dutifully run it anyways.

Hello,

I have a similar problem:

I have EVE version 7.11.292761
When I launch the EVE, it says that the Update is avaible,
Then OK -> Game is shutting down -> EVE Update Setup appears.

It goes 1/7 -> 2/7 -> 3/7 steps, then it says:
"An error ocures while patching"

(Same with repair.exe in EVE folder and Generic Patcher)

I can NOT download the full client now, so, What can I do to solve this problem?
